Waveform 9 with Roli Dashboard and Lightpad Block

It seems that Waveform 9 requires control over the Lightpad Block ('Take Control' parameter in MIDI settings) to work properly as a note grid. If you try to manage the Lightpad in Waveform from the Roli Dashboard application, the interface becomes very slow and nigh unresponsive. Closing the Dashboard will resolve any performance issues but limit the Block to Waveform's default settings.

I just want to confirm that this is accurate and intentional, and that I'm not doing something wrong.
