Madrona Labs have started their annual summer sale for their awesome products. Use the code "PARTICLES" to get 30% off Aalto, Kaivo and/or Virta until the end of August:

In my quest to endorse developers with good terms of sale I am buying some stuff from Rigid Audio that offer a good 14 days of money back guarantee. Low prices and zero risk of getting the wrong product gets thumbs up from me.

The Audio Ollie demos sound a lot better to me but I bought the 8Dio anyway because of the drastic difference in price. Anyway, check out Audio Ollie Scoring Synths if you haven't already:Harry_HH wrote:What is the verdict? I passed that, but purchased the Claire, alto flute by 8Dio, which is really beautiful.Uncle E wrote:The Audio Ollie demos sound a lot better to me but I bought the 8Dio anyway because of the drastic difference in price. I bought this too but I would never (again) buy something from 8dio unless it were similarly cheap as they do not allow license transferHarry_HH wrote:I passed that, but purchased the Claire, alto flute by 8Dio, which is really beautiful.Uncle E wrote:The Audio Ollie demos sound a lot better to me but I bought the 8Dio anyway because of the drastic difference in price. Just realised I've still got my Eventite Equilibrium freebie from Focusrite unregistered. If anyone wants it, drop me a PM.

Agree on that. Never ever buying 8Dio again with their terms.woggle wrote:I bought this too but I would never (again) buy something from 8dio unless it were similarly cheap as they do not allow license transferHarry_HH wrote:I passed that, but purchased the Claire, alto flute by 8Dio, which is really beautiful.Uncle E wrote:The Audio Ollie demos sound a lot better to me but I bought the 8Dio anyway because of the drastic difference in price. 8Dio terms are fairly standard in this business. They are more or less identical to the terms of Sample Logic, Spitfire, etc.

Other than VSL and Project Sam, most of your good orchestral companies don't allow resale. Includes EWQL & Spitfire. So I don't usually let that effect me too much.GearNostalgia wrote:Agree on that. The NI licensing system allows them to accommodate license transfers without running the risk of enabling piracy. If they work with Kontakt Player they have a serial that can be transferred in a trusted way. Soniccouture changed all their libraries to Kontakt Player libraries not that long ago, so that can take advantage of that. 8Dio never had Kontakt Player libraries and Spitfire as well as Sample Logic seem to be moving away from Kontakt Player libraries.bharris22 wrote:Soniccouture seems to have found a way to allow license transfers, though . . . I have purchased several second-hand libraries of theirs, without a hitch.
