Ubuntu 18: Cannot get BioTek to work in Waveform 9 - crashes immediately after inserting it

I reinstalled BioTek 2 multiple times (to /usr/lib/vst), but when I try to add the synth to a track, Waveform 9 always crashes immediately.

Any ideas?

P.S.: ... and the same happens in REAPER. Ardour does not even show the plugin.

Yeah, I have some oddness here too. I get a small plugin window that is the size of the window controls only.

REAPER at least creates a log message:

Collective does not work either. Other (non Tracktion) plugins do work.

And now I can confirm that this applies to ALL the Tracktion plugins. ALL other plugins work in all DAWs.

I reported this on w8 + w9.. collective+biotek.. they didnt fix it back then, good luck getting them to fix it now. Expect when the yearly update to Waveform10 rolls around that the same issue will be present. Paying customer? lol!

Correction to my previous post:

Biotek 1 - borked - Plugin icon has a :!:
Biotek 2 - Works - fonts are missing but I have only the trial and no content for it is installed.

Additionally, Collective works for me.

I can see you previous posts but have you sent them log files and any other evidence you can gather?

As far as my system is concerned, the Waveform log always looks like this (same for BioTek 2):

Actually, Waveform seems to crash A LOT on Ubuntu 18.04 (64 Bit). On Windows 10 (64 Bit) both BioTek 2 and Collective seem to work ok.

P.S.: I moved the *.so files to ~/.vst, to see if that made a difference. Obviously it didn't.
