i switched to a mac recently and cant seem to keep the control panel open when i want it. i have already turned off automatically hide panels in settings and stopped hiding the docker . when i leave the control panel it disappears. i would love iy to behave like the windows version. help?

It would help to desrcibe what you did on your part to solve it, for people who might have the same problem.

it's rather embarrassing, but what i didnt realize was there was a button on the top right of the screen where the control panel can be opened. i dint click it, so when i hovered my mouse on the bottom the control panel popped up then disappeared after moving the mouse. again, i had a boneheaded moment! lol!
