New Zebra owner: What are the best, deepest, most detailed tutorials?

After a while demoing Zebra for a while I'm finally a happy owner! What I really want to do is dive deeply into complex randomizations for things like morphing soundscapes. Can anyone recommend some good videos or youtubers to follow? Thanks.

The MSEG and Random Arp videos will show good ways of getting randomization and morphing. Also don't forget about the Mod Mappers. The LFOs have random glide and random hold as well.

Also several factory patches illustrate these. Look for patches that end with a plus sign (+) since they indicate performance, which usually means extensive modulation and possibly morphing. For example, HS There Will Be Crud makes use of MSEGs and LFOs.

I will recommend The Dark Zebra. It's a soundset with many morphing patches you can study and learn from. Plus you get ZebraHZ. =)

I created a pretty comprehensive tutorial for Sonic Academy a few years back. There have been a couple of minor additions/alterations to Zebra since, but everything in the course is still relevant.

Thanks yellow and tehlord. I did get DZ as well and the sounds in that are massively better than the default Zebra set imo. Certainly making very interesting study as you suggest. A lot of the action seems to happen in the multistage EG. Pluginguru had some good video on the original Zebra but lately not so much. So there's no active youtuber regularly diving into Zebra?

Currently and regularly, not really. Zebra's been around for a while so there are a lot of existing resources (YouTube search brings up PluginGuru like you mention, also check out ADSR, search for "sound design zebra" it turns up better stuff than "zebra tutorial") and there's no compelling reason to retread them. YouTube creators need a massive amount of views to monetize and YouTube tends to attract a certain type of audience that is, to put it bluntly, expecting EDM synth tutorials. Look at ADSR's main page — Ableton, Serum, Massive. Same general theme across YouTube. SynthHacker is one of the more popular ones, Serum & Massive only:

Also, the type of person that would make a YouTube channel using Zebra would tend to use a variety of tools. That is, YouTube sound designers are going to use anything they can. Check out Robert Dudzic, some inspiring insight here:

When I did the tutorial I actually printed the manual out. It's a really well written manual and a must, even if you know synthesis already.

Yes, haven't found anything to compare to those. Am about halfway through Zebra school.
