just getting into MConvolutionMB...getting dizzy! it's a slow process for me to understand all the controls, what they do and how they interact.

i want to create a multiband processor with the same settings in each band, just to deal with some resonant frequencies. when i paste the settings from one band to another, the Advanced Settings are not copied. is there a way to copy the Advanced Settings, or do i just need to manually go in and set them all to the same settings?

thanks

tony

or - a way to create a band with Insert which has the same settings as the band you're inserting next to? in other words, i am looking for a way to create more bands with exactly the same settings as the band i'm already in.

For the first question: Create the bands in the Band Editor, select one band and click the [Link] button in its title bar
Link button enables parameter linking between bands. Every parameter change performed with this enabled changes that parameter in all bands. But Pasting settings from the system clipboard does not change the other bands.
Unclick it when done

I cannot see a way to copy the Advanced Settings or duplicate a band

Yes, the link button replicates the specific setting across all. However I seem to recall that there's a way to save the state, or params of a Melda plugin, and in text format at that, or something akin to this. However with all the Melda documentation I have been browsing recently I do not recall exactly where I saw this.

Cheers.

I cannot recall that, but you are looking to do it for a single band, then use those settings for another band.

Hold on, I just tried again and the Copy and Paste (to/from clipboard) buttons in the band's title bar do copy the advanced settings.

...and so they do! thank you!

one thing that is confusing to me is the duplication of controls labeled simply "copy," "paste," "dry/wet," etc., without any clear (to me) explanation of how they differ from each other or even what exactly they do. a signal chain diagram would be nice, even. i get that there's a sort of hierarchical structure to the plugin, but what contains what can be a little mystifying...

The Info for each button is generated from a set of files. Where there are multiple similar buttons (like the "Copy to clipboard") there is an implied "of this band", "of this Filter", of this Multiparameter" etc.

As for the signal path, this is my view:
