Hello.
I've been meaning to try out a free trial of Tracktion Waveform 9 today but I couldn't get through the first time setup because of the infuriating white noise every 15 seconds that shows on master volume. I searched for the solution on the web and I saw something to the effect that this is an authorisation protection and that you need to register the trial version of the DAW but I think I did just that. I clicked the "free trial" button on the page, registered with my email etc. and when I go to the Help -> About section it shows that I have 4 weeks of the demo left. What should I do?

Maybe you have a effect loaded that is still in demo mode? (eg Master Mix)

How should I check if the effect is in demo mode? There's no Master Mix loaded but maybe it's something else. I admit that despite playing around in different DAWs I feel completely blind for now.

Remove the effects one by one and see when the hiss stops

Close all your edits and open a new empty one. See of that still hisses.
[W10-64, T5/6/7/W8/9/10/11/12/13, 32(to W8)&64 all, Spike],[W7-32, T5/6/7/W8, Gina16] everything underused.

You need to activate from within Waveform over an active internet connection.
Also premium plugins need separate activations from Waveform if you have installed those.

Windows 10 and too many plugins

It's fixed. I reinstalled the program, made sure to login within it and the noise is gone...I was sure I did it before but maybe I really did overlook that. It could also be something mentioned it the previous comments. Thank you for your help.

Upgrade from any version to Waveform 9 Basic is currently $59. Add the 50% discount code 'LABOR2018' at checkout, and the upgrade price drops to $29.50. No-brainer!mchoffmann wrote:What special price are you talking about?![]()
