Has anyone used Stutter Edit for non-EDM purposes? It looks like such a cool plugin, but I'm having trouble imagining a purpose for it in my music. Any non-EDM perspectives would be appreciated!hhuang9611 wrote:https://www.pluginboutique.com/deals/show?sale_id=4303
Has iZotope done sale this deep on those plugins? Might grab them but kind of short on budget this month

Looks like you were right on both counts. There's a 15th 48-hour sale and it is Liberis.SolarAxix wrote:@dzilizzi & @evilantal, you are probably right that there will be additional sales and possibly new releases or updates. In their original announcement, they said there would be 14 48-hour flash sales along with additional sales for new and updated material. When I said the final 48 hour sale, I meant that it was the 14th/final 48 hour flash sale. They might add additional 48 hour flash sales too which they have not announced.dzilizzi wrote:It's been hinted there will be a choir on sale. Liberis was on sale for about 19 minutes before it was pulled because they introduced 66 Tubas the same day. I guess someone messed up.evilantal wrote:I don't think it's the final one. There should be at least one more as evidenced by the promotional banner on the 8DIO site (probably Liberis).SolarAxix wrote:This is the final 8dio 48 hour sale as part of their 7 year Anniversary Sale. This one is going until August 31st 12pm PST. (The previous Instant Steel String Guitar sale ($18, regularly $198) is still going on until 12 pm PST)
This time it's the Agitato Sordino Strings for Kontakt VST-AU-AAX for $18 (MSRP $88): https://8dio.com/instrument/agitato-sor ... st-au-aax/
Possibly one more after that (as hinted at by 8DIO support)...
So, one more then a big surprise? Something new? I don't know. The emails keep hinting about something.
There's probably going to be something coming out on Monday based on the email hints and with Labor day approaching, they might have a long-weekend sale (but that's just a guess on my part).

You can pop it on a send or FX channel and use it to selectively gate/filter just the effects on an instrument. If you want a specific kind of delayed stutter on a word on the vocal in a chorus, for example, you've got MIDI control over that, and then send a different MIDI note to go back to a regular delay or different rhythm for other bits.willsavino wrote:Has anyone used Stutter Edit for non-EDM purposes? SD3 provides functionality way beyond conventional DAWs for handling drums and drum samples. In fact, it’s most like a specialized drum DAW.VariKusBrainZ wrote:$200 upgrade is ridiculous.Drogers wrote:A deal or some kind of competitor cross-grade discount would make it very hard to resist. I’ve heard nothing but great things about SD3 but honestly Addictive Drums 2 is getting me through for now.Tappistry wrote:Honestly, it's not. The quality of the drum samples in the core library are out of this world. Plus the overall insane level of functionality of SD3 vs. SD2: the drum tracking feature, custom drum kits and drum sample blending, MIDI style mixing ... on and on. It's seriously worth every penny.DrMEM wrote:Yup. Still $200, still ridiculous.
DAW upgrades cost less!
But if you can catch an actual sale on SD3 upgrades, more power to you!

Kind of getting annoyed at the spiels and blurbs overtaking the "No Chat" thread. Way too many and getting longer all the time. Seems to me they're more appropriate to be in the discussions of deals rather than the no chat deal list.
Just give me the product, price and ending date there (linked of course).
The lengthy spiels just makes me scroll right over it.
Rant over...

If in reference to my "rant", check out the post before and after the sonivox post. If only those two (and others) would get the message of simplicity to keep from being ignored.
Because out of those three posts, by the time I closed the thread, the only thing that registered was the sonivox one. Which of course, I don't have any interest in any way. So all three wind up to naught.
Just a suggestion to those dealers thinking that more is more when in this case, simple is there most effective.

These weren't as bad as the multi-sized/multi-colored ones I have on ignore. But I can see your point. When they get past an inch or two of screen length, it gets to be a lot. And? The bigger one was not from a dealer - or at least not the dealer in the link. So there was probably some cut and paste of an email on it.BBFG# wrote:If in reference to my "rant", check out the post before and after the sonivox post. PSA: Plugin Alliance have sent out an additional Labor Day code that takes another $25 off and can be used in conjunction with their Labor Day sales codes (on individual plugins).
Opticom $54
VSC $54
Unfortunately you can;t use your personal August voucher (a 3rd voucher) as well to bring it down even further. Looks like 2 vouchers is the maximum.

Not planning to use my $25 August voucher either... Probably going to slip off the PA voucher list if this keeps up

Yeah, don't think I've purchased anything from them since they changed the voucher scheme. Think the new UA plug is out fairly soon though so might just scrape through another year.MogwaiBoy wrote:Not planning to use my $25 August voucher either...
