hi,

been a while since i've been here...

I don't know if any of you has checked out jack tools for osx? IMO it is definately the works, acts like a patchbay between applications, turning it all modular 8)

Problem is, tracktion doesn't like it. in fact tracktion is the only app having problems with it. If I select jack as the audio card T immediately crashes and it doesn't transmit audio when using it as a plug-in.

Any workarounds or anything?

This baby even let's me use ohmforce free standalones as plug-ins

cheers

I've not tried it but there is another I've read about that might be worth trying too. It's called Soundflower. Search www.osxaudio.com for the article.

yeah I know, but soundflower is a lot less flexible. With jack you can let any osx audio app communicate with eachother with jack as the host. I like to use reaktor in standalone and with this I can route it's output anywhere. Also you can use it as a plug-in and send the audio to a different app like dsp quattro that supports au and then send it back to tracktion all in low latency. To bad the plug-in thing doesn't seem to work in T.

I get it now. Thanks for pointing out the difference.

I suppose we can hope for better compatibility in T2? ....along with better mac support in general! :)

I'm hoping for Linux support too.
