My latest from my WIP CD "Ten Years Later"

This one has me trying to sing cool. It's borderline laughable but at least I'm on key. Nice mix with the loids on backing tracks.

Go Away

You know you drive me crazy
With your constant belly ache
I don't think I can go on
Why don't you give me a break

And go away
Just go away
Please go away
And leave me alone

Oh ever since I met you
You've been one big pain in my ass
I've had it up to here girl
Without me sounding real crass

Please go away
Yeah go away
Just go away
And leave me alone

Nothing's gonna change for us
I'm never gonna love you
So take your bags and get on that bus
This is what I want you to do

Please go away
Yeah go away
Just go away
And leave me alone

Seriously enjoyed GO AWAY...another great cheesy, catchy vibe.

Wasn't as keen on the cyber vocal on this one as he sounded seriously pissed on a few words...didn't ruin it though...maybe it actually added something! :0)

GLITCH 2 - WTF were you on dude...send me some now! :0)

This works very well, carefully constructed with a good ebb and flow. Maybe, I'd want the drums to be a little more edgy in their patterns, but maybe that would ruin it! :0)

In all honesty, the Glitch project was nothing more than just testing out the Glitch FX processor that I'd just gotten. Everything was improvised on the spot. Agree on the drums. Back then I did almost no processing on my drum tracks and kept things very simple. But as you said, maybe anything fancier would have ruined the overall vibe. Not sure. I may, in the future, do another Glitch project now that my mixing skills have improved.

As for Go Away, cheesy pretty much sums it up. I was kind of going for a campy Elvis thing on the vocals. I guess on a comedic level it works. I kept the vocal FX to a minimum so hopefully they didn't wreck the song too much.

Oddly, while I still don't love my voice by any stretch of the imagination, I've kind of enjoyed singing on this project. It reminds me of the old days when I really didn't have much of a choice.

Just listened to Glitch 2 and this has nice retro feeling to it lots of those 80's type glitchy sounds. Flows through each section nicely, good one.

Got some great sounds on this Wags.
I think I would like it better without drums...

Yeah, and then I take out the drums and somebody comments "Where's the beat?" It needs drums."

You know the saying. You can't please everybody.

But glad you liked the part that's not drums.

5th track from my upcoming CD "Ten Years Later" with me singing lead again on this one.

Not entirely happy with my voice on this song. Tried my best. Even used pitch correction on it but something about this song, easy as it is, was very difficult for me to sing. Have no idea why. Normally, would have turned to Vocaloid for this one but decided to brave through it. Only thing that really saves it is Vocaloid on the background vocals, which seems to contrast nicely with my voice on this one and detracts from my pitchiness.

Little Bird

Little bird over my head
Flying high never with dread
Be careful though
You never know
When it rains or snows
Little bird

Little bird flying so high
Watch him soar fears not to die
Be careful still
You'll fly until
It is God's will
Little bird

Life can be so hard
Sometimes you don't fly far
No matter who you are
The end's gonna come
You better run

Little bird see you some day
When this world has passed away
I too shall fly
Up in the sky
Yes when I die
Little bird

6th track from my upcoming CD "Ten Years Later" with me singing lead again. Background vocals a combination of Vocaloid and Realivox Ladies.

I really hope at least ONE person will listen to this. I really busted my tail on this one. Probably the hardest I've worked on a track in a long time. Pulled out my Ric Ocasek for the lead vocals. Cars were one of my favorite bands back in the day.

Anyway, it's sweet and syrupy and I don't recommend diabetics listen to it but if you're not adverse to sugary pop, you might like this. The production goes way over the top towards the finale. Really enjoyed doing this one. Even singing it was a hoot.

Sugar Pop

Sweet as candy
Magic in my eyes
I'm so randy
Staring at your thighs
So come along with me
Let me make you see
That we can be all sweetness and life

Sweet as honey
Your stings are the best
Spend my money
Better than the rest
So take me in your arms
Let me feel your charms
So we can be all sugar and spice

Sugar pop pop
Candy coated treat for two
Sugar pop pop
Just desserts for me and you
Sweet things to feast upon
Eat them until they're gone
You and me girl from now on
Sugar pop pop

Sweet as caramel
You stick all around
Guess you can tell
You're the best I've found
So join me for a taste
Not a single drop to waste
We're gonna make it for all time

Repeat Chorus

Diabetic rush
Girl you make me gush
Never gonna let you go

Repeat Chorus
