How do I search for words with only 2 letters? For example, I'd like to search for ppl selling NI VC 2A . Ppl may type it like that, but if I write it like that in the search field it wont let me search. If I type NI VC2A , it won't show me the results where there's space between VC and 2A .

With a wildcard in the middle:
But it takes a while...
Code: Select all
vc*2a

That yields 18020 results, including mostly useless ones, like this:BertKoor wrote:With a wildcard in the middle:But it takes a while...Code: Select all
vc*2a
viewtopic.php?f=102&t=510891&p=7174385& ... A#p7174385
No idea why that is displayed, there is no "2a" in the entire thread.
Seems there is something fundamentally flawed about the search feature.
Would be great if one could simply enter "jtgjzgfkg" and it would search exactly for what's between "". That is the classic way, I think.

In your example, I'd try searching for "VC 2A" and VC2A
my other modular synth is a bugbrand

Doing "VC 2A" will bring same results as VC 2A , nothing. Too few letterswhyterabbyt wrote:In your example, I'd try searching for "VC 2A" and VC2A
And if I do VC2A, it will only show results of ppl who typed VC2A , and ignore the VC 2A results.

Tbh I had used quotes around that wildcard construction. It showed this thread.
Wanna see only selling? Search there only!
Better indeed advertise WannaBuy. .
You could also let google do the searching:
VC-2A site:kvraudio.com

Its always like that, if the site specific search is bad, let google do it... Which adds to their big data database...
