Help Needed with Vintage Rotary in MSF

I tried to set up things so that sustain (cc64) would toggle slow/fast. In the MIDI assignment panel, I had:

RX-Vintage Rotary 1 - MIDI Slow/Fast mapping - sustain pedal toggle

The above was checked.

Then in the Controller box I had: Pedal 064 sustain

The sustain pedal not only did not toggle the rotary speed, it continued to do its normal function of sustaining released notes.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

By the way, if I just wanted to turn off sustain for, say, an organ preset, how do you do that?

To answer my own question: The Advanced Settings/Global/General panel in MPowerSynth has a check button Enable Sustain Pedal (on by default). I expect it's the same in MSF (not at my DAW at the moment).
