Hi guys
Im trying to make a Zebra Patch which emulates the digital grains from JMJ Equinoxe, so I need a retriggering envelope synchronized to SampleAndHold LFO controlling the tuning.
I need to synchronize a looping (LoopA) ENV (set to 10s or 8sX) with a LFO (set 1s) but I cannot get my head around calculating the correct values for how the knob values relate to time.
I also tried going with the Arp but that can only be sync to tempo and I do not want anything temposynced in this patch.
Anyone know the magic behind the knob values relation to precise time?

Are you sure about that? When you're stuck, the best strategy is often to look for a different way of doing it...cjohs wrote:I need to synchronize a looping (LoopA) ENV (set to 10s or 8sX) with a LFO (set 1s)
BTW it would help if you posted an example of the Equinoxe part.

With only one MSEG you can make the loop and the randomizer at the same time, just draw a random line and set the loop points as you wish.

I am not sure I understand that... are you suggesting that I use two synchronized MSEGs - one for the Vol envelope and one for the random pitch? That might work ... however the the Random pitch MSEG would not be "truly" random but I might be able to approach randomnesshollo wrote: Fri Sep 28, 2018 12:31 am With only one MSEG you can make the loop and the randomizer at the same time, just draw a random line and set the loop points as you wish.

A link to the track here (which I hope is official and thus legal)Howard wrote: Wed Sep 26, 2018 2:06 pm BTW it would help if you posted an example of the Equinoxe part.
The sound is most prominent at the end of the track - it is the electronic glitter sparkle effect, probably made on his EMS VCS3, If I should hazard a guess
