Registered WF still acting like demo

WF 8 has been registered for a while. Recently, it's started asking me to unlock when I fire it up. Even though I unlock again and it shows that it's registered in the ABOUT box, it produces the periodic hiss. I cannot unlock it in anyway because it doesn't give me any such option.
Tracktion staff, please help.

Check that it isn't actually a plugin that is making the hiss. Maybe you need to unlock DAW Essentials as well.
And restart after you've unlocked.

Thanks. Seems to have disappeared, but WF recently has been asking me to register occassionally. A bit annoying. I don't own DAW essentials, it was probably WF itself. I'll see.

Guys could it be a drop in your network causing the issue?. I'm unsure , but it's possible that Waveform pings the server on startup or even occasionally to check your version of WF is registered or plugins etc are up to date.

@agamotto I PM'd you the IP for Tracktions updater. ( at least what I think it is by running wireshark and capturing packets as I open the check for updates in Waveform )

The offline registration method shouldn't leave these checks required since part of the idea is that people can have music-only PCs that are not connected to the internet. Perhaps offline registration is a way round it.
[W10-64, T5/6/7/W8/9/10/11/12/13, 32(to W8)&64 all, Spike],[W7-32, T5/6/7/W8, Gina16] everything underused.

I actually tried offline registration before, that has not stopped Waveform from asking me to register twice yesterday...
Today I left a ping running to the IP that mikoatkvr provided, launched Waveform, again asked me to register, and as you can see there is no connectivity issue on my machine.
Highly annoying!
Ping statistics for xxx:
Packets: Sent = 37, Received = 37, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 5ms, Maximum = 9ms, Average = 5ms

I think I found the root cause of this issue. Yesterday I generated a license key and noted the offline machine number. Today once again Waveform asked me register, I tried using the key and returned an error stating my machine was different? Checked machine number in About and it was a different one from yesterday! WTH it is the same PC!

Is this Waveform 8 or 9?
If it's W8, are you switching between 32 and 64-bit versions?

It shouldn't be an issue in W9, there's only 64-bit.
Did you do a Windows update recently? Sometimes Windows messes with the file IDs we use to create our machine IDs..

Does it keep happening, or was it just once?
If you register again, what do you do inbetween it becoming locked again? Is there a system restart or update involved?
We can reset your authorisation count if you like but the thing I need to know first is how often your machine ID is changing and the possible cause of this. It can't be that widespread or nobody's copy's would stay unlocked.
