waveform 9 wont let me set up my controller!

i set up my keyboard controller under settings.and it enabled both the input and output. but when i create a new track i cant seem to find my keyboard arming method. like when you create a track and then load a vst you then click on the left side of the track( where the track numbers are) and tou have an output source. mine wont do anything! could i have screwed up a setting?

I'm guessing here. You want an input source, but wherever you're clicking, you don't get the options?
You know there are some buttons that make things appear and disappear? In the top right corner, there's one underneath the one that makes the Marker track appear/disappear. It also makes the Input thingy appear in the box at the left of the track. When you click it, a dark input shape appears, and you can then click on it to choose an input and arm your track.
It might be something else altogether, but see if this helps.
