OS X Mojave compability

We had before the surprise of having Peak (that was unable to launch in El Capitan) working again in Sierra.

Yep, some of my 32-bit plug-ins started working again in Sierra.

I can certainly see the value for a user like yourself who is more invested in the Apple ecosystem. I really use my Mac for music production only. Everything else is Windows and Android, so not so much for me....all power to those that get more out of this though...I just hope there is no software breakages for me.

only thing is - Apple is not an ecosystem... a forest is.

Mojave is supposed to have some small performance improvements... but I take that with a grain of salt... and have only had it installed now for 1 day so cannot comment on that aspect. So far no software breakages for me...

Yes, nowadays, a reskin is enough to call it a new OS

Not to piss in your cornflakes but there is a lot more in Mojave than Dark Mode. And Dark Mode is a lot more than just a reskin.
