One wonders why they are sorted there though - might point to a quick temp fix?
I'm on the verge of converting hundreds of presets to .aupreset or .fxp format so I could at least see them in alphabetical order via a popup if I run them inside plogue bidule. But I seem to remember that would mean losing some parameters?

Obviously... :)

As for Bazille updates... since we have to wait so long... maybe we can get another osc model or two that can be swapped out :D

I tried saving favourites again yesterday and it worked! Unfortunately, when I tried again today, it didn't. So, at the very least, there's instability there somewhere. Back to the trusty notepad!

Looks like I will be using Sierra until 2020

Unfortunately it isn't that easy...

The "quick fix" is our new preset browser. But each plug-in we update has an aftermath of weeks, if not months of other tasks involved. I think we currently need about 3 months to get a plug-in ready for a "quick fix", on average. I'm very unhappy with this situation myself. I'd love to just post Mac updates, but then you can't share presets with those cross platform, and GOK what else will break.

As impatient as I might get in moments... please do it the methodical and reliable way. I hope when it is finally Bazille's turn, it will get some love like Hive has.

From the Zebra HZ v2.8 thread:
Urs wrote: Wed Oct 24, 2018 3:56 pm Ok, micro-delay. Release was scheduled for today. Web guy called in sick, so I've started to work on a quick fix for ACE/Bazille/Uhbik/MFM2/Filterscape which we haven't updated for High Sierra preset order issues yet. We'll release the whole bunch next week.
A quick fix after all! No complaints here.

It will most likely sacrifice AAX support and 32 bit versions though, and require 10.7 or later. So it's basically a fix for AU and VST2, 64-bit only.

We have forked revision 3898 (current official state of those plug-ins) into our current tool chain, and it was a vast pain in the a** to make this compile. AAX wouldn't compile at all, and neither would certain parts of the Carbon based code (required for 32-bit VST2 and some 32-bit AU hosts).

As these versions are prior to our full unicode support, the preset sorting is done the simple way. That is, o, ö and ó are treated as separate letters.

Regardless, we hope to get out new versions (including AAX support) with the upgraded browser anyway, but I can not yet see this happening before next year.

Perfect is the enemy of good. Easy for me to say, as the above issues won’t impact me—it sounds frustrating on the development side. Still, the intermediate fix will certainly be appreciated by many who use OS 10.13+ with 64 bit AU/VST. Thanks!

Now that would be absolutely stunning ! Bazille is already my very, very favorite synth (hardware / software / whatever), but oh boy I'd love it even more if we could indeed pick different flavors the way we can with Diva (or, from my understanding as I don't own / use it yet, with Hive).
