Hello! First of all thanks for this free convolution reverb.
I have a problem loading my 3rd party impulses in WAV file. When i select custom path and just click on any WAV IR file, nothing happens. The dry sound still coming thru but i can't hear any reverb. Am i doing something wrong or 3rd party IRs are not supported with free version?
Thanks.

Strange, it works for me. I expand the view until I see the name of each IR file, then I click on each file's name, also in the right part of the window, if the files appear there, and it works. It's working also on AIF files, not only WAV, here.

It works here too. If you think something is fishy, please send me some of the IRs to info@meldaproduction.com, perhaps the file is the problem (didn't hear of an incompatible file for quite some time though).

Yes, thats strange. Its a normal WAV files that works in other conv. reverbs.
I'm using Bitwig Studio on MacOS, maybe this is somehow related...I will send you few IRs to check.
Thanks!

Dumb question perhaps: are all convolution reverbs sounding the same way with a certain IR file, or are the reverbs themselves contributing to/affecting the sound?
I've never really tried to compare, hence the question (it'd be handy if I could just use my existing IR files in the new MConvolutionEZ).

Not right at all. I run Bitwig and all Melda plugins (haven't tried the one mentioned here in that specific use case) just fine.
And if that was not enough, I run Bitwig in Linux and use wine-staging and linvst to bridge the plugins
(The problem with MDrummer was that MPE was enabled automatically as the information about it is carried over by linvst no matter what. For all other plugins it does not matter, but for MDrummer and Sample Tank 3 it did. So, not a Bitwig problem !)

Hmmm, something fishy is going on indeed! It is problematic only in a few hosts apparently, but is, will check it out!

Why did you decide for the Linux way for audio? Just curiousmevla wrote: Thu Oct 25, 2018 3:07 amNot right at all. I run Bitwig and all Melda plugins (haven't tried the one mentioned here in that specific use case) just fine.

Circumstance. Way before I started to use a computer to create and record music I was working with Linux. I was working in software development with Windows then moved to Linux. I built my own Linux systems for home and at work. Then I discovered Ardour the free DAW, and started using that. Then way later, about 2.5 years ago I discovered the u-he synths and plugins made for Linux, and then Bitwig.Fourstepper wrote: Thu Oct 25, 2018 12:52 pm Why did you decide for the Linux way for audio? In all that time I had no desire at all to go back to Windows. For SW development and anything else everything was so clear in Linux as far as the information is there in the open, the knowledgeable people are there, just have to ask and take time to understand. Everything could be explained. A far cry from using MSDN in Windows as a source of SW development information.
Recently I have easily added the use of plugins made for Windows. Such as all Melda, all Voxengo, IK Multumedia Amplitube, T-RackS and SampleTank 3, Tone2's Ray Blaster, Icarus and ElectraX, Rob Papen's Blu2 and Predator, all Sugar Bytes, all Sonic Charge, all Synthmaster and some Image Line synths such as Harmor, Sakura, Morphine, Sytrus and Ogun. These complements the existing Linux plugins such as all u-he, Biotek, Waverazor, pianoteq, OvertoneDSP, DiscoDSP and Redux.
I use Bitwig to create and Harrison Mixbus32C to mix (based on Ardour, with added Harrison Console's historical 32C EQ circuit emulation per track).

I can try it in Bitwig here. I think I have some IR files from Soundiron. The only thing is that one should take a brief moment to tell me how. Should be simple although I haven't seen anything in the UI about loading and processing your own IR file.MeldaProduction wrote: Thu Oct 25, 2018 9:48 am Hmmm, something fishy is going on indeed!
