I realize there are more sophisticated samplers in Waveform, but I was just messing around with Sampler and was immediately confused (doesn't help that it isn't covered in the manual).
If you drag the Sampler to a track, you will notice that it is already loaded with an empty entry in the sample list labeled 1. This entry is also selected. It correctly says the file is missing since no file has yet been actually loaded.
If you then drag a file to the sample list, it adds the new entry labeled 2 and includes the filename. However, sample 1 is still selected and shows the file and waveform for sample 2.
If you select sample 2. it will show the file is missing. And so on...
If you remove all the entries (using the Remove button) and start over, everything works the way you expect, ie. the file you drag in corresponds to the entry in the list.
What gives? Seems like a classic off-by-one error, but then again I admit I'm confused.
Shouldn't the Sampler load up empty with no (empty) entries in the sample list?
EDIT: there also seems to be something flaky going on with the Enable button. Adding new samples always seems to reset the Enable button even though it is still ON.

"classic off-by-one error". Lol. I call these "Kenobi"s (off-by-wan kenobi)
Yeah, the Sampler blows chunks. Has it even been touched since about T3?
