I'm not sure which options to set in Waveform to make this happen. Can someone help me out?To record control movements from the Automap Hardware, you must set the Automation mode on the relevant instrument or audio track to ‘write’ (some sequencers have a number of different write modes) and then put the sequencer into playback (not record). Automation data will then be written when you operate a control on the Automap Hardware.
How to record Automap control changes?

I can't seem to figure out how to get Waveform 9 to record Automap events from my Novation Ultranova. The Automap manual says

I'm not near a computer right now, but there is a record automation button beside or near the record and play transport buttons at bottom right of the GUI

Thanks, that's the part that I was missing. I found the relevant section in the Waveform 9 User Guide:
If I understand correctly, if I turn on Automation Write mode, Automap will change the parameter on the plugin, then Tracktion detects the value change and records it. I'll give this a shot. Thanks!During playback, you can adjust a parameter in real time and have Waveform record it as
automation. You can do this with a MIDI controller, or simply by manipulating plugin controls onscreen
during playback. All you need to do is setup your Automation track and enable Automation
Write mode.
