Modulating MUX meta-parameter from within MUX?

I know about the MUX in MUX trick to modulate meta-parameters from an enclosing MUX. But in my patches I often come to the point where I would need to modulate a meta-parameter from within a MUX.

I would expect to choose a meta-parameter as target when I connect an event- or modulation-connection to "Event Out" and/or "Modulation Out". Using the logic that I come from inside to outside and outside means the wrapper around my MUX.

Is there some solution/trick to modulate meta-parameters from within a MUX? Otherwise this is a feature request

Modulating meta-parameters from within that same MUX is and will not be possible. Modulating meta-parameters of an inner MUX might be implmented in a future version. Until then you can use a Parameter Event Generator in the outer MUX and modulate that PEG.

I see. Is there another mechanism to (ideally bi-directionaly) couple parameters within a MUX using a mechanism like the "Parameter Map" for meta-parameters?

I'm trying to modulate a VST parameter within a certain range, and find it extremely hard to tune the modulation offset and amplitude to it. With meta-parameters I would be able to easily set the low and high points in the range, and then modulate it with whatever curve. With parameter event generator the amplitude and offset affect each other, so it's very hard to tune to an exact range.

Hopefully I'm missing something and there is an easier way to do this?

I just tend to set the routing up and adjust to get the effect I'm after, like in the video.

Just hit the record button, more the knob/parameter you want to modulate and viola! It will be there as another sequence as a sub automation rack, but as a writable graph that a point graph. You can get the pen tool to draw desired graph , to get curves, you can copy paste another graph there like that of a pitchbend.

Sorry I wasn't specific enough with my question. Appreciate all the help guys, but ultimately I figured it out

Here's a (longish) gif demonstating the problem with trying to "fork" (not sure if the correct term in english) the desired parameter range when the two variables affect each other. At the end I create a meta-parameter that is used to scale the range by inversely adjusting both params at once. I could probably make another control to then offset the params for total control.

PS. sorry for this off-topic stuff. I still very much would like to see the ability to modulate the meta-params of nested muxes
