I watched a tutorial you featured on your facebook page from Nu-Trix the Synth Guy. When we get to the part of the video where he attempts to expand a few variations of a pattern into a song, even he is unsure of how the sequence will play. That should tell you something about the tedious, opaque, and error prone way songs are arranged in Egoist: Patterns -> pattern buttons, pattern buttons -> part buttons, part buttons -> song button... It’s not that the current process is really difficult, it’s just not very conducive to using egoist for full track production IMO.
Suggestion to make ios Egoist more song friendly

Hi! How about you add another tab (page) for a simple block arrange mode? The blocks could represent the one bar patterns you create and could be moved/copy-pasted/deleted... on a stacked or scrolling timeline. Click on a block in the timeline and it selects that particular pattern for editing in the rest of the interface. The current pattern/part/song implementation kind of sucks for making full arrangements.
