Valhalla Plate doesn't work for you? Not smooth enough?

Gonna buy Phaser too.
In the end all Bazille effects would be released as separate entities.
Murderous duck!

no, Valhalla doesn't work for me.
not sure why, they're great reverbs.
i was very excited when VPlate was released, but it just doesn't do it for me.

Not really understanding the logic of "they are great... but they don't work for me."

If greatness is not the criteria by which a plate reverb will work for you, what is? :?:

just for something different
U-he's UHBIK-A is a Plate reverb + early reflections. It's also very good, imho.

it's great too

Runciter is great. I'd like to see this further embellished as well.

UHBIK-A is something I don't seem to use much, nor ZRev. Although, I really like Protoverb. Interestingly, Protoverb is the U-he plugin which slams my CPU the hardest--this includes their synths! I find it's a great reverb for multi-track send.

Beethoven is great, but i'm not really into Beethoven.

More of a Stravinsky guy

Man, a u-he distortion plugin would be awesome. There aren't many distortion plugins that sound good. Soundtoys Decapitator and Fabfilter Saturn (which sounds a bit to digital).

There's Blue Cat Audio Destructor, which is pretty great. Then there's Klanghelm's SDRR, which is more about saturation rather than flat out distortion, but it is superb as well.

Ok, good to know. I will try them out.

(Sorry for the off topic)

Distortion, well... sort of...:
I'm currently mixing my new band's debut album, and rediscovered the eFX TubeStage that I made for Magix many years ago (around 2010). It's basically switchable 1 or 2 tube preamp stages (with adjustable bias and A/AB mode) that I ripped of Vandal's code base back then, paired with pre- & post tilt filters. On my current project, it has been a lifesaver. We already had a good mix but my singer was like 'slightly muffled mids' (we're doing full-on alt-rock), and that thing magically cleaned up the whole master, opened up the sound stage and made everything stand out more. I was like 'jeez, I need to remind myself how I did that...'. Been a complex beast under the hood. And I couldn't get that sound from anywhere else.
Maybe we can do a full-blown mastering tool at u-he sometime, but currently there are many other duties and promises to fulfill.
In the meantime you might check out that plugin. Alas, it's Win-only (AFAIR there was a Mac version but was pulled long ago...), and it's a bundle (11 tools): https://www.magix.com/us/music/essentialfx/
Sadly, the website has no link to a demo download (might be 14 or 30 days, dunno), so here's the direct link: http://dl03.magix.net/essentialfx_suite_int.exe

I'm sure whatever you're working on will be worth the wait. I'm evidently not the only one who's a fan of your work, and u-he's in general of course. I've used your digitalfishphones stuff for many, many years.

In the meantime, back to Twangström - any news? I was hoping against hope that the beta would be released this week, but I guess that's looking doubtful now. The tension (fnar) is almost too much to bear!

We plan to go public beta early coming week. We've put a version onto our internal beta team today, and if no showstoppers come up over the weekend it's ready to rock.

Just like the old days!
