MTurboDelay quick walkthough

I haven't found it yet, so maybe Chandler or jmg8 can let me know - Do any of the delays allow for unconventional time syncs without doing the math and converting to ms values? eg. 3/8, 3/4, etc.

I just checked and yes you can. I'm planning on doing another video where I show some presets and make some. I'll try to add it to the video. I want make it and release it tomorrow.

I am missing the global modulators/LFOs, depriving us from an EDIT-button is bad enough, but also removing the modulators is even worse.

jmg8 explained that he was running out of multi-parameters. Perhaps some of the devices use up the modulators as well.

It is built using MXXX. There can not be an edit screen or you would be able to buy MXXX for £25.
You can load it inside MXXX or MPS/MSF to modulate the parameters. However there are a few devices there with modulation already set up.
Think of this like MTurboEQ, it is a collection of delays.

Just to get you guys to understand how deep some of these devices are, there are 2 emulations in there of very famous powerful delays. Check out "Oh Boy" this is OhmBoyz and "Echo Man" is SoundToys Echo Boy.

Again the confusing naming scheme of "turbo" plugins strikes back. Some are emulations, some not. Some let you edit the presets, some not.

Maybe - or not - it wouldn't bugger folks so much if the delay and the EQ were called MPowerDelay and MPowerEQ *.

Why would it strike back? MTurbo doesn't mean emulations or anything, it means "an arsenal of these tools" . In a way, the last tool you'll need .

I remember that definition. For me it isn't so apparent when I compare the different features of Melda plugins. Anyway, it's just a name. And I like to make up theories

Lots of cool stuff in there. However it feels like a little breach to have the user presets separated from the Easy Mode GUI. This means from looking at your user preset list, you don't know on which model it is based. Well you could organize it in a folder structure resembling the models. But I think it would be very nice to have the presets directly available that match the current model. It would better meet my workflow. Usually I decide for a model first and then I start to tweak, or usually I want to listen through presets of this model to get inspired. Is this possible?

Yes exactly, I'm doing the same but really this should have been done from the start - plus the existing presets are not very good mostly and seem random (with awful non useful names)

Rarely any Melda preset has a meaningful name. The good side is that the name isn't limiting you in your imagination on how to use it (eg "big kick", "soft vocals", etc). OTOH, they are impossible to remember.

Yes that's the main problem they are impossible to remember and don't tell you anything about the type of sound. I think they just have a random preset name generator alongside the random preset generator - but some of the names are awful too (eg who in their right mind would include words like Thalidomide or Paraplegic in a patch name generator?)

Speaking of Presets, I just made another video showing some presets I made for guitar. These are fairly simple, but I'll try to make some more complex presets in the future. Towards the end of the video I show how to use the "Resonator", so if its not obvious how to use it you might want to check that out. The presets are available in the online exchange if you're interested.
