How do I install the samples to an external SSD drive, doesn't seem to be an option in the installer.

You can't do this via the installer just yet (though it is on our radar) but you can move the samples manually after install and symbolic link to them.
For example, move the "/Library/Audio/Presets/Tracktion/Collective" folder to an external hard disk. Open Terminal and type:
You should then have a symbolic link in the "/Library/Audio/Presets/Tracktion/" folder that points to your external drive (which contains the "Instruments" and "Samples" folders).
Hope that helps and we'll look in to allowing the installer to do this in the future.
For example, move the "/Library/Audio/Presets/Tracktion/Collective" folder to an external hard disk. Open Terminal and type:
Code: Select all
sudo ln -s <Path_to_external_Collective_folder> /Library/Audio/Presets/Tracktion/CollectiveHope that helps and we'll look in to allowing the installer to do this in the future.

Is the Windows command prompt sufficient, or do we actually need to install Terminal in Windows 10?dRowAudio wrote: Mon Apr 10, 2017 9:34 am You can't do this via the installer just yet (though it is on our radar) but you can move the samples manually after install and symbolic link to them.

Google "windows symbolic link" for instructions on how to use the Windows command prompt to create these links with the MKLINK command. Works great!Ou_Tis wrote: Fri Dec 14, 2018 4:16 am Is the Windows command prompt sufficient, or do we actually need to install Terminal in Windows 10?

An idiot on Set Theory:
