MDrummer command mode rhythm struggles

Using this method from the manual:
"You can use automated level instead of transposition. ... In this case all
commands must be at note "C" (minimal level) with no trasposition."[sic]
I am using Intro section here, but apply to all rhythm types. (Many experiences of it, but first exploration into cause...)
Trying to define/refine a simple midi command track. I noticed intro was playing nothing for certain notes, no matter the velocity I would set for them. (Yes, started w/only 'C', but testing detailed...)
Went to the rhythm editor. Noted the intro had loops for those silent note positions, with 6 levels per. Tried playback there. They remain silent. WHY?
Drumset = Electronic Pop > Adrastea
Rhythm = Electronic DownTempo > Chill 01
When I moved up a few notes those position loops would play. Same as while trying to create the track.
C-D = No audio, D# first sound
(Tried to increase the velocity w/in the editor, and searched for options w/impact - no success)
EDIT to note random loops is disabled - is my preference, would like to have as default(?).
During this I need to have the host playing to use the play button in the Rhythm editor(?).
This is an inconvenience. Worse impact - can't sample using piano roll positions w/host at stop.
EDITED
This seems to be a Waveform 9 thing. Using FL Studio does not have issue w/piano roll 'click to check'.

Added this on further investigation, because it has other questions.
First, noted same play defect in the Outro content of the drumset/rhythm combination mentioned above.
added questions
Have I misunderstood
the statement from the manual:
"You can use automated level instead of transposition. ... In this case all
commands must be at note "C" (minimal level) with no trasposition."[sic]
In the drumset/rhythm combination mentioned above, beat has only a single variation level at each note position. Is velocity alteration of only 'C' note use to work here
Assume no, since 'TRIGGERED BY VELOCITY AROUND xx' does not appear in loop editor title bar...

After all the tests, when I returned to the DAW track, MDrummer did not work. Played nothing for any note.
Had to delete and replace.
Then selecting the drumset rhythm combo mentioned in testing, the rhythm editor display was totally different with many notes empty - though not related to non-plays above reported.
Able to use the rhythm editor play w/o host play was restored. No piano roll trigger remains problem.
No idea where/when/how the previous rathole evolved.

Hi NTO,
The problem is the default 'minimal level' settings in the Loop Editor. They should be set to zero.
Setting to anything but zero is useful when you are actually creating loops in the editor then generating more loops from them...the minimal level info is taken into account...but for a finished Rhythm there is no need for this, and indeed having a minimal level of say 25% for a loop that is supposed to play at 0% or 9.1% or 18.2% doesn't make sense.
I think this is a mistake..and it seems to be in all the 'Electronic' rhythms. If you look at all the older Acoustic rhythms the minimal levels are zero.
Vojtech?

Ok, so is this solved?
The minimal levels are imho correct - this is how the complexity is often implemented. But indeed there are some introes with all levels above the minimum, that seems like a problem. Doesn't occur with older loops. I'll try to fix that programatically.

Mentioned above, the first burst of trouble occurred in Waveform 9(new to me), and I have no idea how.
Being a newcomer to both, unable to say what I did.
I have not returned to testing 'all on C variation by velocity', as am in composition using notes and velocity variation.
Curiosity will send me back there though and any further comment will be in another thread.
Consider the intro inspection you both mentioned to be the context of this...
Thanks for considering.

Very well.
The minimum level for notes high is a bug made by the designer though, but it should be easy enough to programatically fix.

I get what you mean and stand corrected....in a rhythm, having minimal levels set in a loop is fine, it's a way in which complexity can be implemented...the problem here was some intros with ALL notes having a minimal level setting above zero, so no sound at all at levels below that....yep, I get it, thanks.MeldaProduction wrote: Sat Dec 22, 2018 12:56 pm Ok, so is this solved?
