I'm not aware of any plans to do so with Miroslav 2 or any other previous products. Edit - just to note, that does not mean that future versions of products won't follow SampleTank 4's footsteps or inherit some of its pedigree.etotman wrote: Mon Dec 17, 2018 8:50 pm Peter, will the Miroslav Philharmonik 2 interface be updated to match ST4?
SampleTank 4 on the way

I asked for a general idea, not specifics. The point is that many thousands of hours were likely invested in creating the new product, which we are offered at a discount. I personally think the prices are reasonable.glokraw wrote: Mon Dec 17, 2018 10:33 pmMan-hours are a business secret,Peter - IK Multimedia wrote: Sun Dec 16, 2018 8:50 pmI can (will) ask for more precise numbers and see but we’ve definitely been working on this quite a long time and the sampling sessions themselves were definitely quite long (or course also taking into account the mountain of work after this sessions are done). If I understand correctly, you will be able to add the ST3 Library (including MP2) disk path to ST4. Then you can use the MP2 (and ST3) instruments in ST4.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote: Mon Dec 17, 2018 9:17 pmI'm not aware of any plans to do so with Miroslav 2 or any other previous products. One annoying factor I found with ST3 and Syntronik is a User eXprience one.
Whenever reopening a session the UI always defaults back to the browser. Damn it’s annoying, Usually, by this stage I’ve done my sound selection and just want to tweak sounds when needed. It’s tedious to have to go through this process every time. Like other plugins, these instruments should really be recalling a last saved view.
I really, really hope IK addresses this small, but really annoying trait. You go to such great extent to design fantastic looking user interfaces, but you don’t do it justice by constantly hiding it behind the browser.

Yes I agree with you. There doesn't appear to be any loss of functionality by using the ST3 interface instead of the MP2 interface.DarkStar wrote: Tue Dec 18, 2018 10:10 amIf I understand correctly, you will be able to add the ST3 Library (including MP2) disk path to ST4. I also think IK prices are OK, I got ST 2.5 as it was becoming EOL,etotman wrote: Tue Dec 18, 2018 1:48 amI asked for a general idea, not specifics. then V3 when on sale, so I'll likely get the SE of version IV, to kick the tires,
as I don't use the articulations much. Peter can always say
'many thousands of hours' were used, and not give out a secret
The effects will be a big plus in the new version,
as a whole, it may offer potential Kontakt users some alternatives.
Cheers

Hi, thank you for pointing this out. The devs have stated that this behavior is corrected in SampleTank 4. Thanks!simon.a.billington wrote: Tue Dec 18, 2018 1:36 pm One annoying factor I found with ST3 and Syntronik is a User eXprience one.

Sorry if this has already been answered, but does Sampletank 4 Max come with everything from Sampletank 3 Max? I just ordered Total Studio Max 2 and Sampletank 4 Max and I will would rather wait to install if Sampletank 4 Max has everything from Sampletank 3 Max.

I despise the Kontakt interface, which is why I chose ST3 with the free upgrade to ST4. The price is right, and I got a fantastic deal on MP2 as well with the crossgrade and credits. I'm impressed with IK!glokraw wrote: Wed Dec 19, 2018 4:25 amI also think IK prices are OK, I got ST 2.5 as it was becoming EOL,etotman wrote: Tue Dec 18, 2018 1:48 amI asked for a general idea, not specifics. Only you can answer the question of worth because the answer is different for everyone. You would get a lot of new sounds recorded at a higher quality, and a brand new flexible interface, which is the reason I took the plunge.caramik wrote: Thu Dec 20, 2018 3:59 am hi Peter quick question

The prices are good through December 31st.

Peter, is the SampleTank 4 USB drive version only for installing onto another hard drive, or can it be used to directly load libraries into SampleTank 4? Also, based on what I see in my shopping cart, are the USB drive version and download version the same price? I also don't see any shipping cost in the cart, is that right? Thanks for any information.

I notice that the promotion mention the integration of iRig Keys I/O. But no mention of integration with the other controllers. Many of us have our own dedicated audio interfaces so the iRig Keys I/O would be unnecessary and overly expensive. What's the likelihood of there being an iRig Keys But without the I/O which is integrated with SampleTank 4. I realise there is an iRig Keys Pro but it's lacks the extra control knobs and buttons that the iRig Keys I/O has.
