Hi,
I have recorded and viewed pitch bend changes from the piano roll view but for some reason Tracktion, using SampleTank 3 does not recognize it, nor does it work when playing it from the midi keyboard.
Is there a setting I'm missing. Like I mentioned, I can see the pitch bend data in piano roll view but no affect.
Not sure what the problem is, using brand new Alesis Q49.
Any help is appreciated.

The Alesis Q49 definitely works for sending the pitch bend correctly as I use it as my main keyboard in Waveform-9 . I'm unfamiliar with SampleTank-3 , maybe there is a button or setting to engage pitch bend or perhaps the pitch bend range is set to 0 by default?

All of my pitch bend issues were routinely fixed by turning off MPE in the track/clip if it's on... or, turning it on if it's off.
Try that, and I won't be surprised if that fixes your problem.

Thanks for that, but what is MPE? I've looked for it but I'm not seeing something that resembles MPE.

That's short for MIDI Polyphonic Expression.
I don't have Waveform in front of me, but if memory serves, click on the MIDI clip that features the pitch bend. In the Properties pane, look for a radio button that refers to MPE... click on it, on or off, and play your clip. That should restore the pitch bend.
Don't ask me why, but it often works.

Correction: when you click on the clip, in the Properties pane, look for MIDI Channel Mode: Single Channel.
If you see, MIDI Channel Mode: MPE, that's likely your culprit.

thanks your reply, that doesn't seem to be the problem, I am in single channel mode but the Pitch wheel/signal still not working.
Any other causes that you know of?

Other than switching *to* MPE, no... if that doesn't work, I will need to turn it over to one of our more crafty Waveformers.
