Hi U-he. As already mentioned. I love this plugin. The only thing I truly do wish for it is at least one more LFO but perfect would be 4.

Please consider that to make a really interesting effect is one that isn't stable. So controlling subtle changes via LFO is essential for vivid presets. One per standard goes to the filter and then? I still want to modulate other sources. Or the LFO with another LFO. I do this all the time. In VSTs which allow more LFOs I always have at least 3 or 4 LFOs running and often more. I use Cubase and I can of course automate a finished track via automation tracks.

But I am jamming and experimenting 90% of my time and I want to get the sound I like right away when playing live and free. I know you don't like to implement many LFOs when looking at most of your other plugins - I got them nearly all - and I never understood that as well and I am a bit sad about that fact.

Please help my needs out here... that would be so awesome. :)

Couldn't help but thinking the same about the lfo('s), as i think with more u-he plugins. I love them all, but there is "always" a lack of lfo's imho. Zebra2 and darkz are the exception. On diva, hive, repro (5), ace, especially bazille and the fx, i usually need to use the build in peak controller (fl studio), which is a shame (imo)

Yes. I think a plugin should be regarded as a closed system, give the greatest programming comfort (options) and should not rely on outer-system helpers. Missing LFOs in this case feels a bit to me like you may only play with white Lego blocks while there are many more colours to build but they lay untouched :)

Yes ZEBRA is the only exception and I completely don't understand that.

Am I spoiled due to the fact of using all the Melda Production stuff, BIOTEK, Waverazor and such? They give you literally endless modulation sources. Cheers to all.

Having not spent a great deal of time with yet, I agree with the above sentiment regarding the inclusion of an extra lfo.

Not spoiled imho. These days modulation options (at LEAST 2 lfo's) are run of the mill. 1 LFO for such a big amount of modable parameters is just a too small amount, imho.
In this particular plugin, i could use at least 3 lfo's for sure. Or 2 LFO's and 2 MSEG's.

i am now tempted to hook it into my DAW's automation modifiers and put a different LFO on every setting simultaneously, just to see what it sounds like.

It would sound crazy for sure :D

Exmatproton: thank you :)

what about
3 more mod-slots in the middle
an additional LFO on the right side
and to the left the additional EQ
and plenty of room for tape/label ?

Post

Would be heaven... tape labels... brilliant idea :)

Post

> tape labels... brilliant idea

yes
they are in presswerk, courcopy and propably others
first i thought "what for?"
but now, testing with twangstrom i found myself often turning knobs without any effect only
to realize that i was tweaking the wrong instance of multiple open twangstrom windows
so: labels are definitely useful! :-)

Post

Hm, we once thought about labels, but then were like 'who the hell would use as many instances as one would use with a compressor...?!', and then ditched the idea.
So, pants down: how many instances have you guys fired up?

In one session? Four at the most, but always at least two.

r,
j,

Post

now, in the testsituation i have 3 instances: 2 in different channelstrips 1 in an aux
but that's just the "test"-scenario
but in reallife...? not more than 1 or 2, i suppose...

Post

IMO, their whole uhbik range needs more modulation capabilities. It would open up completely new possibilities.

hey just demoed rev 8131, it sounds MUCH better to my ears. dunno exactly what you did, but with the filter open - the spring sounds pretty much like i'd want. I don't need much total tweaking within the plugin to get there. I definitely wouldn't want anything darker though. I love the twang, i think i'll be post-compressing and EQing in many cases, just to bring out the top end out a bit more.
