T&S uses the Connect installer which is quite common. Nothing suspicious about that.swatwork wrote: Mon Dec 24, 2018 2:09 pmBe aware that you have to install some sort of download manager before you can get the samples, you don't get a simple download link once you've 'purchased' it.commodore wrote: Mon Dec 24, 2018 1:36 pm Stumbled across this freebie.

It is strange and annoying, that there's no way of getting this for free or cheaper, if you already own the Gold (Platinum, Diamond, ...) Bundle.Fleer wrote: Mon Dec 24, 2018 1:58 pm That Waves Gold plus free SSL Collection is looking good at EveryPlugin.com, time to finally get it.

It’s an incentive to buy the Gold bundle. I don’t see a reason for frustration. The time machine is not working for previous buyers...DawnInEden wrote: Mon Dec 24, 2018 3:14 pmIt is strange and annoying, that there's no way of getting this for free or cheaper, if you already own the Gold (Platinum, Diamond, ...) This thing is incredible and sounds just wonderful. I had StonEQ4k and Satson before, so the price for the strip went down to $39 (from $69 which is already a pretty damn good price). You only have to email them. ...And it's a modular strip! What I get from this plugin beats by much other big name strips that get a lot of attention lately (I won't name names) that sell in the 3 digit area.
Sonimus has won me over completely.
Also, does the company that's not to be named start with a W?![]()

well, in the previous months, every plugin from SSL was for $29 at some time, and for sure they will get back on this price in some weeks.DawnInEden wrote: Mon Dec 24, 2018 3:14 pm It is strange and annoying, that there's no way of getting this for free or cheaper, if you already own the Gold (Platinum, Diamond, ...) I know, their stuff is on sale almost by default. I just think, that it's not the best decision to exclude so many existing customers on christmas evewaltercruz wrote: Mon Dec 24, 2018 6:23 pmwell, in the previous months, every plugin from SSL was for $29 at some time, and for sure they will get back on this price in some weeks.DawnInEden wrote: Mon Dec 24, 2018 3:14 pm It is strange and annoying, that there's no way of getting this for free or cheaper, if you already own the Gold (Platinum, Diamond, ...) So... in case it helps anyone. I saw the new deal on Bias (Amp2 + FX basic for $89)... and I was about to be as stupid as I was a few years ago. So not only the sound quality (I know this is very subjective) can't compare, for instance, to S-gear or Fuse Audio F59 or many other ampsims that I like, Bias made my computer crash a couple of times, it takes forever to load, you spend most of your time finding a decent tone rather than making music, seems cheap and coded in a messy way oh and I had to install and uninstall a couple of times because StudioOne would not find it. While the Amp2 version seems overall better than the old one (the one I own) I still feel this is much lower grade product than most ampsims in the market (honestly: BlackRoosterAudio Cypress is free and it sounds 200% better to my ears).
To top it off, I also own their compressors and EQs (which can't be found by SO4 anywhere in my system though the dlls are there and I point it to them), and their BiasPedal continually crash (I believe this is a graphics card issue -Nvidia- as in my laptop -with no graphics card, just the intel generic one- works fine, though uber-clumsy).
Does anyone have a similar impression or is it that I'm doing something wrong or is it that this software should be for Mac only and the PC version has been handed over to a dormant intern?

Anyone know if the Origin Xmas Bundle sale at ADSR is something Origin does every year?
Already have the pack I like the most (Monolith) and I mainly want to buy large packs for midi content to generate phrases for Synfire, but I don't think I'd want to use much of the midi content of most of the other packs, except maybe two or three....

Bias Amp 1 and FX are very clunky to use, everything is slow and almost unresponsive (the trial I did of Amp 2 seem to be the same). I think it was mentioned here earlier that they really haven't done anything to improve the performance for their plugins viewtopic.php?p=6997138#p6997138escalona wrote: Tue Dec 25, 2018 2:27 am So... in case it helps anyone.
