Don’t worry, there’s a lot of people ready to screw when an occasion appears. That’s a perfect example of digital stealing.
I can think of quite similar occasions ;)

How do the freebies from Computer Music compare to the ones from Beat?

I used the coupon to get some free libraries from Zero G but I didnt see it at all as digital stealing - I saw it as a promo for their extensive collection that enticed me to look and possibly pull the trigger on some of their items for sale. Im someone who would never otherwise have visited their site and now Im aware of what they sell and could have bought from them again as a consequence (personally samples of their nature arent what Im into). It was a christmas code that may have been misinterpreted or mismanaged on Zero G's behalf and got 'exploited' if you want to frame it like that but its not stealing when offered.
Sonokinetic have through their free give aways made me look at each and every new christmas sale which again Id never have done otherwise. The point Im making is it may have benefited Zero G more than we know and would have been the objective of their promo whether or not it was supposed to be used indefinitely/repeatedly.
Dont be so quick to label, there are many angles.

Digital stealing? They released a code. I used the code. They didn't say "don't use the code for more than one thing" or send an email saying it was a mistake. I had no reason to think that's not what they intended. It's not like there's no such thing as multiple-use codes. Sheesh.

Yes. Actually purchased a while ago but registered during the promotion. For 3rd party sellers, generally what matters is when you register the serial with Waves.

Waves wrote:If you purchase from your local dealer, you must register the serial numbers of the products you’ve purchased by December 26, 2018, 5:00 am EST in order to get your free plugin. Once registered, you will receive an email by December 27, 2018 with a link to a webpage where you will be able to log in to your Waves account and select your free plugin.
Best deals from Waves, Eventide, SynchroArts, McDSP and more.

My point exactly. The deal made me go in and purchase Celtic Atmospheres for Omnisphere 2.

Had it not been the first Christmas in ages that i wasn't working and got to actually spend with people i wanted to, I'd probably have done the same with Zero-G. In fact there were a few things there a little over a tenner i'd have picked up too so they would have gotten some money from me.

No great loss to me either way though.

About the Waves free plugin---would it be a waste to get CLA Mixdown for glue when I already have their SSL G Master Buss compressor? The plugin's other compressor is modeled on a Focusrite Red....

For the minimal cost of downloading, Zero-G got $7 from me it otherwise wouldn't have, and went from "I don't think I've heard of them, Loopcloud and Splice are more convenient" to "Loopcloud and Splice don't have a very wide selection of Celtic samples, but Zero-G seems like it might" and several other probable future buys.

Post

Right on, their Celtic libs are interesting at least. I purchased one pack while getting those freebies.
As for CLA Mixdown, don't forget there's no real control, but you do get them lovely faders.

How are the groove3 courses. For stuff like Cubase, do they keep it updated as the software updates?

Post

They sometimes do. The ones on Logic Pro X get updated regularly.
