Can you reproduce this in other hosts? If you download Reaper you experience the same?
(I'm just curious, I also have SM oNE)

I'm compiling the latest build, and will shortly test that preset.
But I can clearly say this about this preset (vs any sylenth preset): don't compare apples to oranges, because:
1. the oscillators use wavetables ->wavetable algorithms cost more (sylenth doesn't have wavetables, does it ?)
2. the oscillators use fm -> that's also extra cost to do FM (sylenth doesn't have FM, does it ?)
3. the oscillators use bend+ and bend- algorithms -> that's extra cost (sylenth doesn't have any osc algorithms, does it ?)
4. the filter uses Diode Ladder algoritm, which is the costliest among all algorithms. If you wanna know why, go search for Will Pirkle's papers on ZDF implementations!

I'm sorry but I find that argument a bit offensive. What is it that turns you off when you are using our products (compared to other GREAT synths you mentioned). really wanna know.W23 wrote: Sun Dec 30, 2018 1:39 am Every time I run a Synthmaster, I think to myself, "Wow, this is the best $35 synth I've ever heard"
Thx

As you may recall you and I 'met' over something similar.
Whereas until maybe this build I always fear that SM2 is not stable enough to use in production, I can't fault the sound of it or SM1 at all.
They really sound good and can compete imho. Maybe the pricing is clouding the opinion?

Ho, ho, the tricky issue of price.
Long story short, price is completely relative in software. Soft synths tend to be priced somewhere between 100 and 200 €, but actually, there is no reason for that price point. It's just a common ground that happened over time.
But this common ground has an effect on people's perception of value. This happened to Sytrus, actually. When Sytrus was released, its intro price was beyond bargain. That was 2003 and Sytrus was superb, it was the only serious soft alternative to FM7 (released 2002) and it surpassed it in several aspects. One of Image Line's big bosses admitted in their customer's forum that such a low price was hurting the perceived value of what it was, at the time, a flagship soft synth, and easily one of the best of its time by a very long shot. In this message, the man announced that they were increasing Sytrus price to the same ballpark as their competitors: 100 to 200 €.

It's not even a bug... he just maxed his cpu by making ridiculous settings

I just pulled your preset into Ableton 10 on my 2012 MacBook Pro 8gb ram, and if I jam out a few fast chords then it maxes out at around 40%. If playing individual notes in a melody then it stays low 30%, less if playing a slow melody. What computer are you running on? Great sounding sitar preset!dune_rave wrote: Sun Dec 30, 2018 1:52 pm Can you reproduce this in other hosts? If you download Reaper you experience the same?

Here's my answer to you:V-Future wrote: Sun Dec 30, 2018 5:07 am Synthmaster One is great but it has too many bugs... Sometimes you make a preset and the CPU goes 100%. Sylenth1 can make amazing sounds without any problem.
If you are claiming our software to be buggy, as the developer I expect you to back up your argument with some evidence. did you for instance send us any bug reports, crash reports, etc? you can also report the issues here on this thread, I will gladly try to fix them if they are reproducible issues.
As I said above, comparing Sylenth's performance to SynthMaster is making an apples to oranges comparison because SynthMaster has osc algorithms, wavetable synthesis, FM, PM, AM, RM. They ALL add up to CPU usage.
To make a "fair" comparison, I prepared another video with a basic patch: 2 osc with 8 unison + LP ladder filter + 3 effects turned on. No oversampling:
and here's a similar patch on Sylenth, playing side by side with SM1:

on minimum setting both are easy to play - naturally more functions, voices and notes cause cpu load.
Not sure why but sometimes,no matter what synth is used when capture video after 10 min of playing the cpu go over 99% and becomes impossible to play - is it os processes, the ram or DAW,when open again same project it's ok again for 10 min, isn't weird ?Could it be caused by recording software ?

A longterm SynthMaster One User here, can usually use up to to 8 or 9 generous instances before CPU becomes an issue.
A fantastic Synth with a very low CPU footprint in my experience.

The Synthmaster products work fine for me, and I'm
not even using them on a mac, windows or ios setup.
(That should narrow things down a bit
