My third OSC entry! This is what I ended up with. Some may have started the month with a plan, however I spent a couple weeks trying to make drum sounds and then let the synth guide me with it's succulent Master SYNC, single knob FM and Ringmod, the OSC Crush with a pixel sized sweet-spot, the all or nothing Chorus effects and otherworldly Delay and Reverb. This synth was a lot of fun to play with. I'm pretty happy with how my percussion sounds turned out, especially the clap which has no external processing!
I also didn't end up using any commercial effects, I was considering using Ozone8 and SlamPro on the master bus, but ended up using Maximus because my laptop CPU was struggling.

That was a very nice and memorable year, the year I've lost my musical virginity! I want to thank KVR for giving us this opportunity to show your creations (sometimes not the best sounding). Making music for OSC gave me experience, inspiration and motivation, and forced me to learn new ways of doing things when your possibilities are restricted. Right now I have more than 1.000 veiws/plays on my SC page. I think I wouldn't get even half of this spitting my tracks out of nowhere. And perhaps I wouldn't even finish my first track this year.

It was surprisingly pleasing to work with Elek7ro. It is like an examination in the university. No presets, no internal effects, no tricky gimmicks, just a straight virtual analog. "Show us, what you have learned throughout this months of your evening hobby!"

Noisemaker was an option this month because of technical issues with Elek7ro and commertial effects were allowed to use, but I prefered to stay in standard conditions. I do like to try Noisemaker in later OSCs.

I think we don't need a dedicated commertial synth OSCs unless there is a promotion (like MPowerSynth or U-He synths). Just do an Any Synth Challenge more often, at least once or twice a year, so overyone can choose whatever they want to use.

Been a long time since I last took part in this. But then again I couldn't think of a better way to send off a nasty year.
No commercial effects are used, only freeware and a few CM magware ones. And Diffuse, which I got when it was offered for free for a limited time. Used as a delay on a send track for some spatial niceness.
As it turns out, when the oscs and the main volume are driven to the max plus max filter drive it only takes around !0% ! of drive (DD Overdrive in my case) to achieve a guitar-like sound.

I almost forgot to make the track, but luckily remembered today and sort of wrapped it up. I've had plenty of fun with this rather simple synth with mighty UMPF. Missing velocity made it a bit tricky for me for some reason, not to mention the permission to use commercial effects, which is something I haven't done in ages... but I fired up some of the wonderful prices, hehehe, indulged in Valhalla verbs and did a rather...well... atypical kind of track from me. Somehow the image of a fashion show couldn't get out of my mind. :shrugs:
