Everything is locked to PLAY , it's just when the host loops , the sequencers don't start on the first beat .

It does seem like it. Arc uses static linking so should avoid these kind of library issues.
I googled for the first dll name in that list and it seems there are a lot of people saying 8.1 should have those files but doesn't, but apparently they can be installed with the VC++ Redistributable here http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... x?id=40784.
Yes, sounds a like a bug. I did some last minute tweaking of the Windows installer so probably broke this. I'll get it fixed in a forthcoming release. The actual "Architect.exe" was installed in C:\Program Files\Loomer\Architect
That feels wrong?
You should be fine to just move the file yourself, by the way. Nothing depends on the .exe being in a certain location.

I'll take a look when I get a moment, but I think this is the thing I described earlier.gentleclockdivider wrote: Thu Jan 03, 2019 4:43 pm Everything is locked to PLAY , it's just when the host loops , the sequencers don't start on the first beat .

That did not fix it and the runtime installer said it was already installed. I did a "Repair" install and rebooted, but still can't open the standalone. Funny that the plugin works just fine.colin@loomer wrote: Thu Jan 03, 2019 4:55 pmIt does seem like it. Arc uses static linking so should avoid these kind of library issues.

No pressure though, I'm fine with the plugin for now.
Will finally dive in deeper now
Cheers,
Tom

To be fair, normally missing DLL issues cause a grumbly message box from Windows, so I wasn't entirely confident a runtime installation would fix it. I'm adding logging as we speak, so between that and (if it's still OK with you) a debug build tomorrow, hopefully I will work out what's happening on your machine.

That is absolutely okay with me!

One more question: I created a Bitwig project with the initial demo version of Architect on my laptop.
Now I try to open it in the licensed current beta 2 on my main machine and all the 3 VSTs I used are shown as red "Plugin Missing" although they are all there and showing in the plugin browser of Architect.
Any idea what that could be about?
Everything else seems to be still there (graph, sequencers etc.).
Cheers,
Tom

No idea. Plug-ins should be stored with a unique id that enables them to be matched across machines when moving projects.
At a guess, I'd say it sounds like that is going wrong in this case. Could you send me your preset.xml and plugin-cache file, and I'll see if I can see what's up? Cheers.

Colin, a quick question if possible:
I am using the plug-in inside Bitwig and was wondering whether it was possible to send the midi output of two different mono sequencers to separate VST tracks inside the DAW?
If so, how would one go about this?
Many thanks

VSTs only have a single MIDI output, so I guess the best thing to do would be to send the data on separate channels and then have each VST respond to only data on that channel.
I have a feeling I can actually do something to tell Bitwig to treat each MIDI channel individually, which would effectively give you 16 MIDI outputs per instance. I'll add it to my things to do, take a look when I get a chance.

Many thanks for the quick reply!
I am a bit confused by your first paragraph, though. Do you mean for the time being to have a separate instance on each channel on my DAW? If not, how would I go about this? (sorry for the rookie question).
If you were able to give 16 midi outputs per instance, then my God you have a monster here! I would buy the plug in just for that feature alone

No, in Architect just stick a `set channel` after each mono step sequencer, and send them all to the same host `MIDI output`.lickle_emu wrote: Thu Jan 03, 2019 6:59 pm Do you mean for the time being to have a separate instance on each channel on my DAW?
And then, somehow route this to each plug-in in Bitwig and tell them to only listen to channel 1, channel 2, etc. Sorry: I admit, I'm vague on how or if the second step is possible because I seem to be the only non-Bitwig user in a world of Bitwig-users.
Well because you asked so nicely, consider that feature bumped to closer to the top of the list, then!If you were able to give 16 midi outputs per instance, then my God you have a monster here! I would buy the plug in just for that feature alone![]()

You can output on 16 different MIDI Channels from Architect and then filter in Bitwig either with the Channel Filter device or if you use an Instrument Layer Device, each layer has a Midi Channel setting in the inspector.
You can also distribute that generated Midi with Note Receivers to other tracks and again filter them for the Midi Channel.
So what you wish is already there.
Cheers,
Tom
P.S. not sure if separate Midi Outputs is possible in Bitwig. Several Audio outputs yes.

Well, let's hope you will see the light in time then...colin@loomer wrote: Thu Jan 03, 2019 7:04 pm I seem to be the only non-Bitwig user in a world of Bitwig-users.
The modular approach of Bitwig and the modulation system is a perfect match for Architect.
Also, you can add as many devices in whatever order you chose no matter the plugin type (as opposed to Live) which makes dealing with Midi plugins so much easier...
Cheers,
Tom
