When you select one of the keys F, Dmin, Bb, Gmin, Eb, Cmin, Ab, Fmin, Db, Bbmin, the "black" keys should be displayed as Db, Eb, Gb, Ab and Bb instead of C#, D#, F#, G# and A#.

Come on! This can't be too hard to program, can it?

Post

Shouldn't be too hard, I'll take a look, but can't make any promises.

Here's hoping then...

I'm trying to think everywhere a note is listed:

MIDI Keyboard
Tempo Track
Note in MIDI editor
Note pitch in property panel

Can you think of anywhere else?

Most of them are obvious how to do except MIDI Keyboard. If you have two keys in your edit, should the MIDI keyboard show the key the cursor is over? First key on the screen? First key in the edit?

For me, the most important place would be in the display of chord names. It's always confusing seeing Bb displayed as A# and Eb displayed as D# when you're composing in G minor (which I do a lot).
The note name display in the midi editor comes next in importance.
In the tempo track, I think it's OK if both are shown, like where you select the key.

Ok, this will be in 10.0.15

Please give it a good test incase I missed any places where notes are displayed

Wonderful! I look forward to testing it.
