You are really naive, if you think your definition for "foeing" is typical.
I've been quite a while member in the Kvr, and this is not the first time people talk about the subject.
There are members (too many), who are even bragging, how many "foes" they have. As said, if you give your little finger for this kind of thinking, it takes the whole arm, and finally all of you.

If companies spam my email inbox, they end up in my spam folder. If companies spam the KVR deals pages, they end up on my "foe" list. You are reading more into this than there actually is.

Basically, it's the collector's mentality of getting the thing just to have the thing, regardless of whether or not you'll actually use it. GAS is a trap of course, since obsessing over having the "right" tools can act as a substitute for (or at least distract you from) actually being creative, which is presumably the whole reason you wanted the tools to begin with.
Not to mention the added insidious compulsion to keep all those unused tools up-to-date, regardless of whether you're just sending more good money after bad. Which, of course, you wouldn't know, because you never used them in the first place.
Gaslighting...is a form of mental abuse in which information is twisted or spun, selectively omitted to favor the abuser, or false information is presented with the intent of making victims doubt their own memory, perception, and sanity.

This is rubbish.
It used to be much more adequately called "muting" a user, which I do with people who either plaster the threads with stuff I don't care for (in the bargain thread) or people who are so abrasive in their communication, that I just don't want to read what I personally would call forum spam, bad manners or just insulting/distorted personalities.
I don't have to digest every person-on-the-interwebs anger or personal problems, that does not help anybody and leaves me with indigestion.

I'm sure you pick your personal friends and don't just hang out with every weirdo there is?

The interwebs is a technical space so we also need technical ways of filtering out the crap.
Free speech isn't an excuse for everything.
And not listening to absolutely everbody with verbal diarrhoea isn't the doom of humankind.

For whatever's worth, last week I complained (more like "vented") on this forum about IK stuff being a pain in the butt (particularly the authorization system after a full reinstall). To be fair, I need to also say that their support team responded quickly and fixed the whole mess in a rather satisfactory manner with only one email.
And related to this: besides the ability of resizing the plugins, anyone who has TRacks 5 has noticed any other improvements (lower CPU, better sound quality... I don't know) compared to previous versions? I'm only pondering whether upgrading to V.5 is worthwhile (I have TRacks MAX 4, though only use a handful of plugins). Thanks all.

Thank you for this smart analogy. My grand grandfather died in a concentration camp, and I´m glad to know your view of people like me making use of a simple "mute user"-list here.

Furthermore, I would like to be not notified when someone I put on my "mute" list replies to a thread that I am watching / subscribed to. When I don´t want to see someone´s posts, I sure don´t want to be notified of his posts either.

Anyone here sold plugins on eBay or reverb? I’ve sold hardware there before but not software. Just wondering if there is anything to watch out for scamwise from buyers.

I personally stay away from eBay altogether nowadays. But, i guess that's not a very satisfying answer for you. :)

I just think it's a total whorehouse these days. Or rather, like a bazaar.

Before selling here at KVR, you can check the buyer´s feedback, and see whether you like what you read, and how trustworthy you deem that person based on the feedback and on the communication with him - before agreeing to a deal.

This won´t work with eBay, the criteria for automated bidder exclusion are rather lame and not too customizable, and creating "private" auctions with the condition "please get in touch with me to be permitted to bid" sort of defeats the purpose and hardly gets any gains, in my experience. Hence more or less anyone can bid.

Maybe a great buyer, but maybe someone who later claims that your serial number was stolen, or someone who doesn´t know how to operate an iLok license and blames you for it... he´ll first get his money back from PayPal if he files a claim, and then you´ll run after the case.

I´d prefer selling here, frankly.

Depends what you're selling, some of the more well-known big name synths tend to fetch higher prices on eBay, partly due to the high number of people selling them on here. For lesser known stuff, this place is probably the better choice.

edit: I did have one issue with an ebay customer trying to claim scam on an unregistered iLok product i sold them. A quick email to Pace from me settled the matter.

Well, except for Krim, but I think everybody eventually Foe'd him.

Now I have over a dozen names on the list... And growing... :(
I think this whole "friends and foes", listing people, not to mention banning their mails, is chilidish, remainds some kind of highschool popularity contess, it feeds all that kind of negative side of the human nature.
First you write black lists, then you discriminate people, and before you notice, you start silently accepting cocentration camps, etc.
Kvr should remove that option immediately.
This is way off topic for this thread and where the original discussion was going. It's not that big a deal though, because if you don't take it elsewhere I'll just put you and everyone else pursuing the debate on my foes list.
