I had braced for occasional crashes, high CPU usage and all that, but I hadn´t expected for the Odyssey to not even open on my shining new Mojave studio Mini... it works fine on my good, old Sierra office iMac, but that doesn´t help...

Ya we have to be going on two years since they announced they had plans to update all the GUI's, and absolutely no news of it since. It is disappointing to say the least.nachenko wrote: Thu Dec 06, 2018 12:09 am Korg Legacy interface is so tiny on retina monitors, I had to activate screen zoom shortcut in preferences. I went for the fastest CPU, installed 32GB of memory and hooked up a bunch of external SSDs for samples. My old Mini (behold: a 2012 model, not that old) occasionally hiccuped when playing rather CPU-intensive Kontakt libraries (Output, Sample Logic) even at 512 samples latency.bill45 wrote: Sat Jan 05, 2019 5:46 pmHow is your Mac mini otherwise? What Cpu did you get?How much memory.epiphaneia wrote: Sat Jan 05, 2019 3:01 pm I had braced for occasional crashes, high CPU usage and all that, but I hadn´t expected for the Odyssey to not even open on my shining new Mojave studio Mini... it works fine on my good, old Sierra office iMac, but that doesn´t help...![]()

The new one is a marvel in comparison - I have yet to make Logic´s total-CPU meter exceed half, even when using heavy processing (Zynaptiq,...), big sample libraries, all at 128 latency.
And all plugins I used before work fine with Mojave too - except Korg´s Odyssey.

As the Korg support didn‘t help me so far as to get the Odyssey running:
Does anyone still have a v1.0 installer for the Mac version I could try (as the v1.1.0 version doesn‘t work for me) and would kindly make it available (eg a dropbox share link) for me to grab (as this is just an installer and needs my serial, I reckon that would be ok)?

Have you read anywhere that the plugin is running fine on Mojave?epiphaneia wrote: Mon Jan 07, 2019 7:05 pm As the Korg support didn‘t help me so far as to get the Odyssey running:

1. Apple doesn't care that much about backwards compatibility.
2. Big companies like Korg - that don't have VST/plugin development as their main business - are often slow to catch up.
It's not that unlikely that support just won't admit that there are issues and you'll just have to wait a couple more months for an update to resolve it.
Any installer would work fine, but it's not "just a serial", it's challenge/response. Meaning: the "serial" won"t work without some internet connection.

Besides Korg‘s own „Mojave compatible“-announcement, at least one forum member stated above he‘s running the plugin successfully under Mojave. And spending a cool 5 minutes on installing the 1.0 version won‘t do any harm, I reckon.T-CM11 wrote: Mon Jan 07, 2019 7:36 pmHave you read anywhere that the plugin is running fine on Mojave?epiphaneia wrote: Mon Jan 07, 2019 7:05 pm As the Korg support didn‘t help me so far as to get the Odyssey running:

The ARP is looking like it needs a bigger GUI already ... who knows how long (if ever) until they update the rest of them. No more Korg goodies for me until they do.ATS wrote: Mon Jan 07, 2019 11:56 pmyup and I was dumb enough to believe them and bought the whole collection when they announced itBassMasterK wrote: Sat Jan 05, 2019 5:18 pmYa we have to be going on two years since they announced they had plans to update all the GUI's, and absolutely no news of it since. Why would they need to update the GUIs? They still work. Jus because you've been stupid enough to set yourself up so that you can't work with them any more is not Korg's fault.
