T2 taking too long!

I know that T2 will arrive when its ready, but the annoyances I have in T1 are starting to get on top of me. For the sake of productivity I've gone back to Cuabse SX for mixing, despite the bugs, because it has the things that Tracktion lacks (Full PDC, decent midi editor, proper mixer with clear level meters).
Its about time Mackie let us know whats going to be in T2, or at least a vague release date, ie. Q2 2005 or whatever.

It's funny how things have changed since T first came out. The 'big 3' or rather 2 have nicked ideas from T for the latest updates. It was bound to happen, I guess, but now Tracktion is not so unique as it once was.
Every day takes figuring out all over again how to f#ckin’ live.

1)Whats wrong with PDC in Tracktion?psycontinuum wrote: the things that Tracktion lacks (Full PDC, decent midi editor, proper mixer with clear level meters).
2)The midi editor is fine. It could be imroved but its hardly indecent.

I agree. But probably not gonna happen.psycontinuum wrote: Its about time Mackie let us know whats going to be in T2, or at least a vague release date, ie. Q2 2005 or whatever.

Very true. I think its gonna be more of a work flow thing instead of a feature thing eventually. Which is good for the users in the end. I know I aint goin nowhere for a while tho. T's workflow is just too good for me.chagzuki wrote:It's funny how things have changed since T first came out. The 'big 3' or rather 2 have nicked ideas from T for the latest updates. Making cool indie films. Currently on the set of "Untitled Jim Jarmusch Project," which makes me pretty damn happy.rpc9943 wrote:Bill? Bill murray? Where are you?
Now if he could only be reunited with Chris Elliott on one of his indie films...

I meant full PDC for racks. Kinda spoils the whole idea for me...AD80 wrote:1)Whats wrong with PDC in Tracktion?psycontinuum wrote: the things that Tracktion lacks (Full PDC, decent midi editor, proper mixer with clear level meters).
Sorry, I didn't mean to be boring. This isn't groundhog day, I was just venting my frustration.
I guess what I'm looking for in T2 is for it to polish off some of T1's sharp corners

I have a theory that T2 will only come out once we've gone a number of days without mentioning it at all. Kind of like the idea that once you let go of the idea of getting something you really want... then you can have it.

Can you explain why it sucks?Neil G wrote:it just sucks that now, everey other sequencer has got an update(sonare, logic, live, cubase, etc),yet were still not even knowing what this update(t2) will bring, let alone when it will come.
I've been thinking about this quite a bit (haven't we all
Quite apart from waiting for Tracktion 2 I'm interested to see what happens with Reason 3 and maybe FL5 as well... but I'm just going to have to wait, so there's no point in moaning on a daily basis in the meantime. Because I love T1.6 and Reason 2.5, and I've got some ideas for some tunes that I want to go and get on with...
