It's a way of buying/selling software secondhand where companies won't normally allow resale of software. The seller instead changes the email in the account they are selling to that of the buyer and give them the password. In principle, the company doesn't notice or chooses not to notice.
Is it legit? Not exactly. But it seems some vendors turn a blind eye to it or don't bother tracking changes like this. It's probably against a EULA clause: the question is whether the vendor will act on it and suspend the licence.
There is also a risk the seller will do a bunk with the money as the vendor won't do anything to help the buyer. However, I'm not sure whether this happens much.

It works as described above, but you should check with whom you‘re dealing. After all it‘s a matter of trust.

This is how the company Initial Audio (Sektor) told me to transfer their products. They are the only company I’ve dealt with that actually use this method.martinjuenke wrote: ↑Thu Jan 10, 2019 6:14 pmIt works as described above, but you should check with whom you‘re dealing. Check who the person selling is, look at the feedback thread, look at their posts on this forum, communicate and try to get a sense of who this seller is or seems to be. I've done account takeovers in the past and it was ok and I am myself trying to unload one (and there is nothing against it in the EULA actually, they just don't facilitate the transfer, so they're ok changing the email/user login info)
Good luck!

I was under the impression subscribers had access to the software included, but no one at Zinio seems to believe it is included and can't help me access it. Not sure a pdf copy without software is worth even the sales price, tbh. (If my lack of sleep is causing me to be so stupid as to miss how one accesses the software, please let me know, apologies in advance if I am ignorant.)The Noodlist wrote: ↑Tue Jan 08, 2019 8:54 pm Zinio 40% off!

And the nice thing about CM is that it is forever. Music Tech only has the last 5 or so available. And they don't always download well - as in I can't get them to unzip properly half the time.
