Oh yeah, lovely score and film

Should also mention the Carl Orff in Badlands (and didn't Hans Zimmer ripoff some of that for another film?)

Yeah, he reused it for True Romance too (and it worked pretty well there, I thought). It seems that piece, Gassenhauer, was actually written by Gunild Keetman, but Carl Orff often gets credit for it because she put it together for his music teaching program.

Some others I noticed recently. just saw that logan movie, it was the superman sound track rehashed. new lost in space tv show was jurassic world rehashed. I heard it and had to go check myself.

Post

yeah but given superman was williams it was probably a rehash of some classical piece anyway ,

no, superman as in that man of steel zimmer remake, sorry for the confusion.

Among the modern ones I like the Nip Tuck theme:

And older themes like that from Hill Street Blues...
Or this one, an antidepressant :)

This Metheny/Bowie theme is also nice:

But usually it is not so much the themes themselves, but the association with the respective program or movie, maybe even the times...

Oftentimes the soundtrack played during the program or movie is much better than the theme.

Genius.

This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

Arrival had a great theme

nice one aloysius. that one's in. instantly recognizable. Will out live us all. I would hate to make it a list of John Williams tracks though. He probably is the best to ever do it but I'm still setting superman as the gold standard.
