Zebra 3/Hive schedule?

We're trying. We've had a new UI for several years now, but there's a couple of non-trivial tasks involved which have become a bit of a no-one-wants-to-touch-this issue, e.g. the latency-free mode for surround audio. Whenever I look at the Uhbik update task list I have to take a deep breath. Sure, we can do maintenance & visuals only, but I'd really like to rework some old code first.
On a positive note, these things have to be resolved for Zebra3 as well. So I kind of designed a dependency which will hopefully move both projects further at once

Does it mean Zebra3 would have multiple outputs and surround features?Urs wrote: Mon Jan 14, 2019 1:21 pmWe're trying. I sure hope so! It's not set in stone though, it's one of those features marked "would be really great to have".WolfKay wrote: Mon Jan 14, 2019 2:41 pmDoes it mean Zebra3 would have multiple outputs and surround features?Urs wrote: Mon Jan 14, 2019 1:21 pmWe're trying. Is the new UI inspired by Twangstörm and Colour Copy? I think the UI is awesome for audio effectsUrs wrote: Mon Jan 14, 2019 2:44 pm We're trying. Yes, absolutely! Hiev 1.2 presets will sound identical in Hive 2.0.Elektronisch wrote: Mon Jan 14, 2019 4:05 pm I dont know if this has been asked or not but will Hive 2 be preset compatible with hive 1.2?

Well, "improved sound quality" would be a bug. It would make existing projects sound different.PieBerger wrote: Mon Jan 14, 2019 4:39 pmUrs wrote: Mon Jan 14, 2019 4:32 pmYes, absolutely! Unless you did it like you did in Zebra 2.5 where there were two different modes...2.3 and 2.5, in which all previous instances defaulted to 2.3...
Maybe others have done this?
I don't know.

Thing is, I would not know how to improve Hive's sound quality. Examples of "better" posted by other people tend to use certain effects.
There's maybe a bugfix or two (buffer size issue, sync issue), but nothing that involves "increased anything".
