Thanks pjones for uploading my MUXes.
Temperance is a pad synth. GUIs interest me, which is why I've tried making it look nice, and carefully selecting the parameters to include on the front panel. I've tried making it as logical as possible, including colour coding the dials, and all default values are whole numbers so it's easier to go back to the default settings.
GUI aside, I think it sounds wonderful (it's a MUX after all!
) and as with everything done in MUX, it sounds absolutely clean. Considering how many voices it's made of, it's fascinating to see the low (almost immeasurable) CPU hit.
As shown in the video below, the synth can easily sound fatter than it does now - it's just not what I wanted from it. In this case, I wanted Temperance to sound like a slice of heaven. That is also why it's based on sine waves rather than sawtooths (which in turn makes it rather temperamental - hence the name Temperance).
I think the movie not only shows off Temperance but also how powerful the MUX concept is, so I hope it can steer more musicians toward MuLab and MUX. (In the video I didn't play around so much with the LFOs, but they can certainly be used to make for interesting effects and moving textures.)
Have fun with Temperance! I also welcome any ideas for improvements.

Here is a introductory video for the MuT8 multi effect processor (named in part as an homage to the upcoming MuLab 8, but it can really mutate a sound A LOT).
I created it a year ago and have used it on all my projects since then. It is truly versatile, as it is both for normal chorus/reverb/delay/filter effects and for more creative effects using LFOs, distorsion, a resonator, a flanger, a phaser and a sweep EQ. It's unnoticeable in terms of CPU use.
The idea behind it was that I wanted to be able to try out a number of sonic possibilities without having to adding modules one by one. I think this has led me to experimenting more with my music, such as putting a phaser on a bass sound (who would have guessed that could be a viable thing to do!).
Over the year, I have been making a few videos with MuT8 using a single piano sound for example. In this two-minute video I use Temperance chords to show that it works equally well on pads. It's also great on creative/experimental percussion and for spicing up snare drums.

^^^If we used that naming convention, we could organise MuLib presets according to the MuLab folder structure. That would make it easier to drop them in the right spot.

Yes i agree, and may i add could mulib be arraged in catagories like Instrument/pads or /leads, /guitars, /bass and even for effects like effects / reverbs, /echo, /comrpession and stuff and under them have the name of the creator along. Would be hectic to sort already existing ones but would greatly help in the future.

Is there a way to have the list sortable?
So, like in a file manager, you could select a column to sort by Preset Type (Synth, Reverb, Filter, etc) or by Author.
