If Poly Grid is MPE capable and it is easy to set up and use as MPE is generally in BWS that will probably sell a few more Rolli Seaboard Blocks!
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S49MK2, Studio One, BWS, Live 12. PUSH 3 SA, Osmose, Summit, Pro 3, Prophet8, Syntakt, Digitone, Drumlogue, OP1-F, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Nord Drum3P, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Since the Grid is a part of Bitwig at the core of the app, it will always be integrated. For example, if the core app adds some cool new capability, it is sure to work with the Grid devices.
No additional costs and of course any Grid presets made by users can be used by any other user.

Absolutely- the more people come to the MPE party the more VST and DAW manufacturers will consider it an important feature. I only mention blocks as it is AFAIK the cheapest way in...here is a nice B stock one to temp someone

I am not really up to date about Bitwig and i wonder if MPE is now proper included like in Logic and some other DAWs. Means that it records also all the specific midi channels exactly as i played them. I remember Bitwig did not do that and so it had not the full MPE support i had hoped. Is that solved by now?
Indeed a reason AL is a nogo since they do not care a bit about MPE.

Very interesting looking DAW. I'd demo it (I never cared before but the pitch graphic in the piano roll looks nifty) but if you can't save the project, that kind of kills that for me.

I wouldn't worry about that - you'll want to buy the license before it even occurs to you to save the project

Yeah... you could manage to save a project that way...Tearing Riots wrote: ↑Sun Jan 20, 2019 9:46 amYou can save clips/scenes though, incl. their devices.

yes...finally it happened
say goodbye to AL, finally worth to replacing plugins to VST 3 in Bitwig, and preload terabyte sampled materials with disabled instruments...
Changes in Bitwig Studio 2.5, Beta 4
Improvements
...
When entering a textual value for a VST 3 plug-in parameter allow user to enter this in the parameter's actual unit instead of a normalized value 0...1
Add new DPI aware setting on Windows that decides if Windows will automatically scale plug-ins that are not DPI aware
When deactivating a plug-in (either directly or when deactivating its track) unload the plugin

I'm looking forward to being able to use MPE. I have no controller which supports it. However, I am hesitant because MPE's days are numbered. It is a hack that will be replaced with a proper protocol in MIDI 2.0 that supports per-note expression in a far more elegant manner.
Thankfully, the work that Bitwig has done to support MPE today should translate well into full MIDI 2.0 support when the protocol is standardized and published. They have not yet developed themselves into a corner (like Ableton has).
But I don't know the same is true for Roli, Linnstrument, etc. That's why I hesitate to jump on the MPE ship. It's a big investment for something that might not support MIDI 2.0 in 5 years.
