Ah... The Nasty Clicks. One of my favorite thrash punk bands. Have such good memories of their concert. I’d have even more memories if I hadn’t sustained a concussion in the mosh pit...

What were we talking about again? :drunk:

An old favorite of mine.

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

Curveball. Bitwig Sampler has a 'textures' mode, and very cool it is too.

Quanta is great if you get it at a discount as I got, but it has a couple weak points: filters are meh! and sometimes not working as expected, the modulation matrix is difficult to navigate and there were some modulations I couldn't set (read: it's not as versatile as I wanted).

But the core of it, working with the source material, is very good. As a granular synth, it's great. As a granular based sound design/FX tool, it falls short. Nothing wrong with that, as long as you know its limitations.

Quanta is great, I actually prefer that the focus is on the granular processing, not filters and fx. I can add those, it's really best thought of as a granular OSC which can be part of a larger processing chain including fx.

Just for nothing, at 229 Euro, Crusher-X better be the damn best granular FX unit ever made.

Sheesh, way too rich for my blood.

I created a dual-sample granular synth called The Rapoonator made for MuLab.

Cosmosf is very cpu demanding (can easily max out one core on my 2011 i7 imac and 2015 i7 mbp) but produces no clicks (of course except when very short grains and a sharp rectangle window selected) since an update some time ago. Dev is quite responsive to bug reports and feature requests!

Thanks for the kind words, liquid! :)

I'm sorry I said Polygon when I meant Palindrone. I hope you can find it in you're heart to forgive. I never met to cause harm. Honest.

How about alchemy it’s a
Synth but now it’s only supported on logic x now

I'm still using the Mangle (64bit) quite a bit in my projects, despite the fact that is has been abandoned and some stability issues in Reaper. Other than that I find it pretty capable and above all intuitive and inspiring. With regards to some of the aforementioned VSTs I've never really bonded with Absynth or MGranulizerMB (no reply to my questions from those folks) but am looking forward to giving Avenger another shot this year.

Hi guys, I'm new to the world of granular synthesis but I'm playing around with Form inside Reaktor, also I saw good reviews about UVI Falcon (which I'd like to take in the future), I'm asking why these 2 are not mentioned at all?
