The Notepad is not essential, but gives you a convenient place to jot things down, so that you can prepare some proper Info later

+++++++1...use it on almost every track/stem/etc...what would be nice would be able to export/printout individually/all of the notes for quick reference...especially when coming back to a project that was done "awhile ago.".../s~

I sorta knew that was there, but I am thinking more "full blown." More like "Print: selected/all" in a single go to an output device: "printer/pdf".../s~

I also use notepad a lot to document why I did things for complex MXXX setups. The one thing to watch out, as evidenced by that image, is that it'll by default pass through the audio, so in the above case it'll pass through the sidechain to the main input.
Something changed in the newest version and it looks to me like output rows I'd disabled were reenabled in the new update, took me a while to figure out why stuff was sounding weird, it's because my notepad rows (usually row 6) were passing through the side chain, argh!

...notepad should be completely passive, i.e...straight wire...
