doesn't fire clips addStepDataObserver callback when issued via ui menu.
Again, you'd have to click the notes window to have this fired.

What would work is for example to call quantize with a very low value every flush() ... which of course sucks because it's filling up the undo history ....

I could probably also try other hacks like doing a scrollStepsStepBackwards scrollStepsStepForwards everytime the playhead reaches zero (to min flickering) but ... meeeh.

Is there a better solution for this which I'm not aware of?

In this regard, just to double check, this callback is the only way of reaching the note grid isn't it?
