Really nice 12 min video on the new stuff in Tracktion. (You can tell it’s day one because everyone looks fresh and rested!) It looks gorgeous on that super-wide screen too.
...and right at the end SynthAnatomy points to a piece of TSC modular in a rack that will be covered in another video...

The thing that piqued my interest was 'Groove Doctor'. Now that does sound interesting. Not in the current beta yet.

I still want more MIDI love. I want
1) Add bass notes to my chords i.e. C/E
2) C, C7 and Cmin. I want C2, C4, C6, C9, C11.
3) Custom Chords I can save.
DREAM:
Chord Detector like Studio One Pro has and the ability to copy the chords to the chord track.
I make a lot of cover songs and create stems. This would make my work flow so much easier and if it had a razor for the chord track added I would be so happy.

I missed that???? I have even read the manual! Okay I will diving in.
EDIT I remmber why: Custom chords are fixed, meaning they won’t change if you update the key. I often transpose my music due to the different singers I work with. Range is not universal

It's not a Tracktion video. There are people from magazines and websites that go round to different NAMM booths making videos on each while talking to the people manning them. Watch the second one instead.

A write-up. It mentions a built-in substractive* synth, which I seem to have missed. Maybe it's somewhere in the Air plug-ins.

What can this synth do, that you can't already do in Collective?Clac wrote: ↑Mon Jan 28, 2019 6:49 amThis is a new synth - https://www.gearnews.com/wp-content/upl ... active.jpgjabe wrote: ↑Mon Jan 28, 2019 2:17 am A write-up. A classical subtractive synthesizer should be in each DAW by default - I think for this purpose it was made.Stuttaton wrote: ↑Mon Jan 28, 2019 9:04 amWhat can this synth do, that you can't already do in Collective?Clac wrote: ↑Mon Jan 28, 2019 6:49 amThis is a new synth - https://www.gearnews.com/wp-content/upl ... active.jpgjabe wrote: ↑Mon Jan 28, 2019 2:17 am A write-up. It is simpler than Collective, and it is such a synthesizer that is sometimes required.

This appears to be a much simpler layout than Collective. That is how a subtractive synth should be.
I hope they were aiming more for a one page design, rather than the tab, after tab, after tab, layout of Collective. Of course you can do subtractive with Collective, but a simpler workflow would be nice.
It looks like Tracktion is trying to cover the basics now that they already have the Multi Sampler and Collective. This will be a nice addition for the bundled instruments.
