The good news is all u-he software in cubase 10 are less cpu hungry. I think its because it uses hyper threading now
Wow this thing sounds so damn amazing, i like it more than the hardware prophet 6, and the mopho, and the ob6, yes even the ob6. The bass is simply killer and the fx ad so much. WOW, i think i even like it a tad more than Diva.

Seriously? I understand a deal. The value is the current sale price 74.50 which IS a deal. Half that, is a silky low ball offer. It’s not like there is warranty or wear’n year. It’s software licenses. Current sale price or I’ll just wait till the price goes back up and then sell my licenses.omiroad wrote: Wed Feb 06, 2019 3:53 amYou're getting the licenses at low-ball prices yourself...jrichman63 wrote: Wed Feb 06, 2019 12:59 am I might just do that too. Hold on to my duplicate licenses till the sale is over, not interested in lowball offers.

that's why i sold my repro for 50 and didn't dwell on it too much. I got the bundle for 229€ which is less than the cost of Satin and Presswerk, both which i was going to buy anyway, twang, colour and diva are just bonuses.omiroad wrote: Wed Feb 06, 2019 3:53 amYou're getting the licenses at low-ball prices yourself...jrichman63 wrote: Wed Feb 06, 2019 12:59 am I might just do that too. Repro and Hive which i bought normally paid for themselves already.

Pretty lame we can't get the FX bundle. Lotta people who bought in at full price getting shafted on this one.
Edit: Bought the bundle, flipped the owned products. From salty to feeling ok about it lol.

A word on why this and not that:
This sale is a rather unique offer, not just for people out there but also for us. As you can see, NI not only did this, they also produced marketing material, videos, ads in various languages and all of that, which apparently consumes time and money we couldn't ever dream of, directly marketing to an audience that's in the vicinity of a hundred times bigger than what our newsletter reaches.
This all makes the sale itself a byproduct. It's more important to us what it does to our brand. For instance, suddenly, social media people pick up our stuff. We see loads of comments from people who have never heard of us.
I totally get that it feels awkward to many people, particularly those who already have many of the plug-ins on sale. But I believe it's a good thing. The two-week period makes it a very contained event, but if the long term effect results in just 2% increase of revenue (and that might be just a base line), we can do a lot of things that we simply can't without. And those things will be beneficial for every u-he user.
We invest a lot of time and effort into NKS, particularly on tagging and controller mapping. That also means stuff like assigning XY controls to every Zebra preset. Everyone can benefit from that, just like everyone does from our new preset browser which was built in the aftermath of NKS preset tagging. Neither would/could probably have happened without an incentive. And this sale, the tap into NI's user base, was always a part of that incentive.
Unfortunately we can not juggle the terms of the sale in any way. This is how it works, and this is what people at NI figure is what works best for *their* user base. Hence no split up fx bundle or anything.
Sure, should there ever be a "next time" for an event like this, we'll probably do single redeem codes for any bundle. We might do some things differently, but that's stuff based on things we have never experienced and hadn't expected.

not an easy decision: it's a global sale, and even it $279 is not a high price for a a lot of people, for me, by example, living on Brazil, it's almost half of my sallary, so, for a lot of people, selling now is the only option.jrichman63 wrote: Wed Feb 06, 2019 12:59 am I might just do that too. Who are these people ? Have they been in prison for 15 years ? Living on a desert island ? Elderly members of the church choir ?Urs wrote: Wed Feb 06, 2019 4:14 pm For instance, suddenly, social media people pick up our stuff. We see loads of comments from people who have never heard of us.
I have never met anybody who uses a computer in any capacity for making music who hasn't heard of U-He and doubt I ever will.
I bet Elton has heard of you

You think these prices are high? This stuff rivals hardware which is 4x the price. think again. The fact that you can get a synth that sounds like hardware, use it on 20 tracks in real time, this is insanely cheap in my book.
I do have sympathy for people in countries with super inflation, or a weak currency.
If it were possible and i ran a company i would make exceptions for people.
Yes and U-he is very well known. The problem is piracy.
