Just playing with the two demos with my LinnStrument. Soundwise and the musical inspiration its triggering Diva is the clear winner. I could not find a way to set the pitch bend range in Repro 5 though, but in Bitwig its easy to deal with...
Then took one sound from Repro 5 and tried to redo the same settings in Arturias Prophet V and could not even get close to it - Repro sounding so much better...
But I guess still, Diva would cover all my analog sound needs for the rest of my life...
The price was always way out of reach for me. The NI deal is still „heftig“... But I got some more days to think about it...

You mean for Diva? I think the price is alright. Hab' schon heftigeres gesehen. ;)

I don‘t mean the price isn‘t justified, it is absolutely - for me personally its above what I could afford at the moment with no real income...

Ok, fair enough. TBH, i didn't have the budget for this as well, or, at least i restricted myself to not buy anything related to computer audio in the next time. I had to do it though, otherwise i would have blamed myself after the deal has expired. :D Because i always wanted Diva, and rightly so, because it's a really great synth.

Maybe you can sell something you don't use much. Or trade for a used copy, which seem to surface a lot at the moment.

Go check out the Zebra 3 thread here.

The NI deal got me Diva, at last.
She’s so smooth, and I love smooth.
Didn’t keep Repro though, less my taste.

you have to click on "tweak" and the pitchbend range is revealed. i used it with seaboard, probably should work with linnstrument.

Got both through the bundle. Tested them a little bit before.
Diva‘s got that fatness. Analog and raw. Nice subtle variations.
Repro has these awesome FXs which allows the sound to be much more prominent.
Love both. The probably end up on every project and might fulfill my VST-needs for quite some time.

I like the Repro very much - only the possibility to record and replay the sequencer pattern via the keyboard, is worth investing in this gem.

Diva is my favourite here. It has a wider range of oscillator types/filters, the option of running dual filters, nicer sounding resonance and I prefer the sound of the filters overall. I do wish it had filter saturation/drive though.

The oscillators are higher quality in Repro and it has the polyphonic distortion which is nice (although a little buzzy) but I find the resonance on the curtis filters to be horrible.

Stupid question: Isn't that exactly what Feedback is there for?

I like Diva more. Repro is actually a bit more up my alley sonically, but the modulation architecture isn't really my cup of tea. I usually end up using automation and Max 4 Live to modulate the Repro plugins.

I do love ResQ though. Wish u-he would make a Repro version of Zebrify. Reprofy. I'd pay for that.

Yeah I use that along with FM to roughen things up a bit but I’d still like a dedicated saturation option on the filters, it’s not the same.

I own both, love both, each do things the other doesn't. BUT all that being said, I like repro more. The bass, the leads, the snap, so aggressive and lush at times. Diva is my pad machine, and moog thing, and jupiter thing. Rerpro is the pro one all over again, and man does it deliver. These really compliment each other, and let me throw one other in there, Hive, the virus ti killer, prefer it over dune, and anything else. This is so aggro and lush as well, but doesn't have the same sound quality so i layer the hell out of it. and oh yeah bazille for my fm needs. These 4 synths are to me, the end all be all of vsts. Serum is meh, i prefer halion sonic 3. Plus the new wavetables in hive. U-HE saved me. Seriously saved me. It is the closest stuff to hardware and just sits in the mix right and sounds right. I cannot say that about a lot of other VSTs out there.

The only other VSTs that i like a lot are, sh2, sh101, system 100, promars. Dont care for the jupiter 8, juno 106, or the system 8 that much, i feel like diva kills those.

I sold Serum because Hive introduced Wavetables and bought Hive.
Have Ace, Repro, Diva and Hive.

Right now i don't have the need for bazille since i barely scratched the surface of ACE, and Zebra is just unnecessary at this point.

might get Zebra at v3.
