It's an all in one toolbox for your master-channel. I like it quite much, the presence feature is unique. Also some other useful things in there. Just demo it.pekadan wrote: Mon Feb 11, 2019 11:05 am I just got the offer from Plugin Alliance to buy bx_digital V3 for $69. I'm sure it's a fantastic plugin well worth that price, but what - if anything - makes it special compared to hundreds of other top class EQs on the market in 2019? I understand bx are (or used to be) kings of m/s, but surely most well featured mastering EQs support m/s?

Thanks! And yeah I would, only it's a 24h deal and I don't have time to try it out within that time.dermage wrote: Mon Feb 11, 2019 12:27 pmIt's an all in one toolbox for your master-channel. It really grew on my. What I'm constantly using: Mono-Maker, Stereo-Width, Presence Shift Bass / Treble. These are very useful already.
Also quite a nice feature is the solo-on-selection switch. So it auto-solos your current selected knob. E.g. Mono-Presence automatically switches to mono for you to hear, what you're actually doing to the mono image. (It is optional of course and can be switched off).
What I also very like about PA products in general is the toolbar where you can easily compare against 4 different settings/versions (ABCD). That really accelerates workflow for me.
It has the best workflow for master-processing from all the EQs I own. (Slick EQ M, Equilibrium, PRO-Q3)
Of course if you need to do more specialised things these others come to hand, but for a quick and easy improvement of the Mix bx_digital is very useful and fast.
Btw I do not even use other features, which this has a ton of. Eg. Dynamic EQ, recording 2 mics with split mid/side to one channel etc.
For the price of 70$ it is a good deal I think. I bought it 1-2 years ago during a sale, too. Had a voucher back then I remember so paid even less.

Just in case anyone wondered.
East West are NOT giving Play 6 free with paid upgrades.

But the $299 version was compatible with Kontakt Player, while the sale version requires the full version of Kontakt.Fleer wrote: Mon Feb 11, 2019 5:45 pmDealio!Kurdish Mayfield wrote: Mon Feb 11, 2019 5:00 pm Kirk Hunter Virtuoso ensembles for $79; maybe cheaper at discounters. Was 299

Hmm, so Izotope's quoting Grimes: "Iris is incredibly versatile-I've used it in pop songs and atonal noise pieces." Which songs, I wonder? Also, she seems to be referring to Iris, not Iris 2... which could imply that was from before she got access to more expensive equipment.

Izotope doesn't allow transfer of "retail software bundled licenses"... so the individual components of the Iris 2 + Trash 2 bundle can't be resold... but I guess the license to the bundle itself can be?...

I am not sure what you mean by this. By a paid upgrade do you mean like upgrading from Symphony Orchestra Silver to Symphony Orchestra Platinum?
If that is what you mean, well then...of course they don't. Play 6 is only required on their newest libraries which thus far only amount to 3 vocal oriented libraries...and Play 6 comes with those libraries, thus giving you essentially a free upgrade from v5.
All of their other libraries do not use the updates included in Play 6 other than database search items, thus making an upgrade to v6 for free rather silly.
Unless of course you meant something different...

Hi,
I read in the deals thread, that Kirk Hunter's VIRTUOSO ENSEMBLES FOR KONTAKT RETAIL is on sale.
Has anyone seen this in one of the discounter shops? Or a shop, which sells Kirk Hunter at all?
I've seen their own shop, but since I do not need that library so desperate (and even $80 is quite something), I was thinking to get it maybe even cheaper?
Have a good one

As far as I checked, AudioPluginDeals is cheapest for Kirk Hunter (and gets you extra credits for purchases) but this one seems to be a direct sale by KH.

Hi Fleer,
they have some Kirk Hunter libs, but I couldn't find this particular one there. Did you?
Cheers
